tenshins crying skills are much better than his acting skills.. he probably felt ridiculous after the whole thing ended and his pride was hurt.. in theory he probably didn't wanna go along with it and he was crushed after it set in that he just looked like a fool.

well he called out Rogan Nowitzky Dana USADA CSAC last week so maybe he is getting more intelligent and his CTE has cleared up
He's been criticizing the UFC and USADA forever. Schaub's a marble mouth who can't pronounce anyone's names to save his life, but he has always kinda told it how he saw it imo. He's way off on some things and has some weird logic when he divulges his opinions, but he's been against Dana and USADA for a while.

It is sad if anyone thinks this isn't pro wrasslin' level nonsense.

Robin Black points it all out.

And there is logic to it: Sakakibara thinks Americans will find out about and be interested in Tenshin like with Conor if he puts him against Floyd. The problem is is that Sakakibara is fucking clueless and doesn't realize that Americans don't appreciate fixed fights.
yep.. and Americans are aware that they have always involved theatrics in federal show events...if they gave a fk about tenshin they would've never agreed to that anyways.. at least ppl are talking about it but for the wrong reasons.

Yes, that's what Sakakibara thinks. That still doesn't answer why a fix is useful here.
A few things are established already.
1. This was never going to be a legitimate contest.
2. Rizin did this to get eyeballs on their product.
3. Tenshin is a phenomenal kickboxer and one of their best rising stars.

All of those things are true. None of them make a fix necessary. Why would they fix it to where Tenshin gets steamrolled? Isn't it better for their product if he does better than that?

Firstly, relax. Haha Jesus Christ.

Second, I know how good Tenshin is. You really think he could have given Floyd a lot of problems in a boxing match? He's not even been alive as long as Floyd has been a world beater.
I'm not that upset. Just a little disappointed that Sakakibara can't get out of 1998...

And I do think Tenshin out have caused A LOT of problems for Floyd. He is hyper aggressive and much much faster than Floyd. Floyd is a patient counter puncher who waits for the gap in an opponent's barrage to strike, relying on his defense to wait it out. Tenshin's speed and aggression wouldn't allow Floyd much of a window (if any).

He's a 20 year old kickboxer who is like 2 weight classes down from the best boxer ever. Conor had a better shot than Tenshin, and Conor didn't really have a shot.

Not in Japan. The Japanese are totally okay with young guys flopping all over the place looking like idiots to show respect to the legends. That actually makes the young guy look good in everybody's eyes. Sakakibara just doesn't understand that Americans don't think that way so he applies is Japanese logic on his foreign marketing and fails miserably because he is a short-sighted twat

Floyd Mayweather is not the best boxer ever he is the richest. Pernell Whitaker could have beaten Floyd if the two were at their Prime. He was nearly as good a defensive fighter and a faster counter-puncher.

Floyd is mostly hype just like Tyson...

Japan's idea of what looks good and Americans are different... this whole situation didn't make sense so why would the outcome and fight have to make sense.

Okay, take that statement out of my post.

He's a 20 year old kickboxer who is 2 weight classes down from a 50-0, world-class professional boxer.

He kinda bought the dick pill excuse. He was pretty vehement about the second positive, saying he was done giving Jones any kind of benefit of the doubt.

Who is in his 40's.

How many guys in their forties can be guys in their 20s who r really really good?

This isn't Conor who is a shit defensive boxer. Tenshin is an excellent boxer.

I heard him flip flop on the second one a bit....But i don't listen to him much

I do commend him for taking a stance on the latest line of BS and calling out the Snitch as a Paid liar now

I value a real pro's opinion - ECC170 @ECC170 - a lot and I don't rule out the fix at all I just don't care either way.

if you guys are interested in Tenshin you should watch out for next year's Rise kickboxing tournament featuring him plus the two high level thais he beat this year. One of them - Rodtang - who gave him his toughest real fight to date.

because ppl think there has to be logic to everything.. the only logical thing here is that it was a terrible fix... when he fell the first time that flipping over and flailing read so dramatic especially when that right hand was a mile away.. you don't go from being that hurt to gettin right up and moving normal.. that's just not how shit works... it's mind boggling ppl think it isn't
"you don't go from being that hurt to gettin right up and moving normal."

Tyson Fury disagrees :D

No he’s not

He’s a good kick boxer.

His hands and footwork are good in kickboxing.

one thing to keep in mind here is we are looking at this thru a north american view point . to the japanes young tenshin fought the best boxer in the world last night. they have never been one to hold losses against people unlike the ufc where you are only as good as your last fight. this doesnt count on anyones record and is an exhibition. i dont know if it was fake or not but i do think tenshin over sold the knockdowns. they were pretty theatrical and dramatic. the japanese love a spectacle and a spectacle is what they got. rizin is not meant for us . it is meant for the japanese fans.that should have been evident by how we waited until 3 days ago to even get a stream
