just finished a bowl of the risotto and half-a-glass of merlot which I will finish the rest with some ferrero rocher mixed chocolates and a episode of Game of Thrones when the GF finishes with the dishes and a shower.....

then I will retire to bed with a book and to perform any necessary responsibilities if it is required......she did make the effort to prepare dinner in her foul-weather condition but I think I get lucky tonight and the drowsy effect of her medication will have her wanting for sleep!

Pretty content really, I was just thinking about that.
Over a week without a drink, not one celebratory shot even after a Saints win at a grill.
Watching Ben Shapiro verbally abuse people on YouTube.
Thanks for asking partnerino!

Cardio by far
So is strong lifts if you are actually plugging in 100% max and basing your other lifts off that.

Most ppl have no idea what their ORM is because they don't push themselves anywhere near it And dont take the time to learn form or do rep work to get near an actual ORM. So it seems easier to do strong lifts because u can't lie your way out of cardio. But most ppl r lying on their max nunbers

Orm = one rep max

1RM Squat or Running hard miles are both mentally taxing to me.

I can psyche myself up for about anything else to push myself to the "I'll have to die to make me stop" limit. Those two things get to me.

But you get to the bottom of a really heavy squat and I have no idea how people powerlift through these heavy sets week after week. I don't love the lift like I do a deadlift. And you can't say no once you are committed through the negative. All the setup for failure if you don't have your mental game perfect for that moment.

Likewise, I started running a lot and it just plain hurts sometimes. Just hurts. Lungs on fire. Legs exhausted. Have to go somewhere else. I can do it if I have headphones to distract me and just put one foot in front of the other. Silence and just the road sucks at those times.

cardio
regular heavy lifting can be hard also
both are hard when unmotivated
good music can get me to do both, but sometimes I just don't hit play button on stereo so I fuck off and slack

Cardio. Cardio takes the longest so there's lots of mental discipline needed to keep on going. Lots more oppertunity to quit. The lift is in the moment, and yes it requires an equal amount of mental toughness, there's less oppertunity to back out, or not complete the exercise.

Agree. You can distract yourself while running. During a one rep max you can end up in the hospital. And I have lol

it's a rather pleasant and quiet evening here. The Matronly GF is a bit under-the-weather so she is in the kitchen preparing a simple seafood broth risotto for our dinner as I manage the more serious matter of investigating the important discussions of the day on of these forums.
a simple risotto? check out marco pierre white ova here with her cooking skills ova there.

Golden.

Long weekend with the day off tomorrow paid to burn off some flex time.

Drinking beers, smoking some kush, playing PS4 UFC and RDR2 while waiting for the lil lady to finish off the Masala for dinner.

The weather has been a 10 around here this weekend so perfect for an extra day off.
