Has that model been tested over and over and technology been developed off it?I've seen that ts great (Love Sagan), but to play devil's advocate it assumes that the sun is super huge/far away, and all its rays hit the earth parallel.
I've seen it modeled that if the sun were not huge and super far away, but much smaller and more local, the exact same shadow effect would occur
Is it being used in all manner of equipment and proven to work or is it just a sketch
from a guy with no basic understanding in math and science?
See the difference?
