our playground was asphalt, and the 'big' slide was twice the size of the one on the left.
We had one like the left but it was made like in 1950
It was nicknamed "Rusty"
Only the bravest of souls dare slide down that tetanus ridden sharp corner having rickety bitch.

We had one like that in my hometown. Giant slide made of steel and concrete. It was all rusted, so my mom would give us big sheets of wax paper to sit on lol. You probably could have fried eggs on it in the summer sun!
