A patient scenario, 15 year old came to ER with recent onset of "tics". She was a very athletic girl with no known medical problems of any kind. She has an appointment with a specialist but it is a few months out and she is getting worse. The very first question the ER doctor asked the parents was if she had any vaccinations shortly prior to onset of systems.

If you aren't thinking HPV vaccine.....

So you are saying that no amount of data and scientific proof would have any bearing on this discussion for you?
No.

I was just kind of bouncing that around in my head. If they don't know what causes it, if there is no common denominator to be found for cause, it multiple things can cause it, they how can they be sure what doesn't cause it?

And just because I'm not 100% sure on something doesn't mean that I necessarily disbelieve it. Whether I believe it does or doesn't isn't important. I just was wondering if they could 100% percent say that it doesn't.

Ya know? Lol
