Less damage to homes and buildings because we have stricter building codes. Older buildings would be in trouble but anything built in the last 25 years would still be intact. It's crazy to think what the damage would have been like if the way the hurricane just hovered over the Bahamas happened in Miami instead.
September is the most active month

I know less about Hurricanes than sexual intercourse, but a quick google search leaves me to doubt that you could have that level of supreme confidence that the buildings would withstand the 2nd biggest storm ever deciding to casually take a shit on basically the same spot for 9 hours. The speed of the hurricane surely changes the dynamic a lot.Less damage to homes and buildings because we have stricter building codes. We have stringent building codes because of past hurricanes that have destroyed us.I know less about Hurricanes than sexual intercourse, but a quick google search leaves me to doubt that you could have that level of supreme confidence that the buildings would withstand the 2nd biggest storm ever deciding to casually take a shit on basically the same spot for 9 hours. The speed of the hurricane surely changes the dynamic a lot.
Anyway, change Miami to some other city in the US without the strong building codes and the point stands.
Interesting. Always thought it was irresponsible pet owners. You ever hear about the Burmese python problem in the Florida Everglades?
Yeah a hurricane (Andrew, 1992) destroying a snake breeding facility in southern Miami Dade county actually caused that. It wasn't caused by irresponsible owners who let their overgrown pet snakes go.
Irresponsible pet owners started the problem, but Andrew was the primary cause of the explosion in numbers.Interesting. Always thought it was irresponsible pet owners.
I learned something today.Irresponsible pet owners started the problem, but Andrew was the primary cause of the explosion in numbers.
Burmese python invasion in Florida a hidden legacy of Hurricane Andrew

Man and I'm only 45 mins from Cocoa beach!
Funny, I just heard a report saying that there is a record amount of people rushing to Florida east coast beaches to assist with clean up causes. Apparently there are so many people there, volunteers are offering to "suck some dick" to clean the beaches.
