When is this stain on the sport going to debut?

Frankly I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired of this guy.

It has been almost a year since he announced he was going to get smashed out in the cage for our viewing pleasure.

The act is up.

He got off Twitter and stayed out of the headlines for awhile so that's good, but it's time for the charades to stop.

How long can he pretend to be a UFC fighter for? Crumpled Mass turns 37 in a month. This is a young man's game.

Lots of guys fought their asses off so this poser could make money off their blood, sweat and tears. How much value does being a UFC fighter add to his brand?

People are all up in arms about the Nick Diaz situation, but what about this poser making money off guys like Nick Diaz sacrifices? Nate called his ass out for a reason. Wake up.

CM Punk is CASHING OUT on these guys who actually FOUGHT BEFORE.

This Phil Brooks guy is boosting his brand's value off their hard work. This dude has all the connections and agencies to use the added profitability of being a "UFC fighter" to get tons of interviews, interest and the per diems that Brooks loves to brag about to actual fighters like Pendred.

Nick Diaz can't fight for 5 years.

Phil Brooks gets to pose as a UFC fighter for 5 years.

What a "sport".

Morning Report: Michael Bisping says CM Punk's fans will scatter after he 'gets wiped out inside one round'

"At the end of the day it is the fight business, but the operative word is business," Bisping told Michael Landsberg on TSN's 'Off the Record.' "If he does attract people to the sport and he sells pay per views then god bless him. That's his luck out. It's none of my concern. My concern is what I get paid. I'm very happy with that.

"As I say, he has a fanbase, he has a following but that fanbase will diminish after he gets wiped out inside one round."

Unsurprisingly, Bisping says he'd be more than happy to welcome Mr. Punk to the UFC family.

"Listen, I respect anybody that has the cajones to step inside an Octagon but if you're coming from a professional wrestling background like he is, you know, this isn't story time with mom and dad, this is the real thing. He's gonna learn pretty hard and pretty fast that this was a gigantic mistake on his behalf.

"This is not pro wrestling, this is the fight business. This is the hurt business. If CM Punk really wants to get down and really wants a piece of the action then my name is Michael Bisping and I'm employed by the UFC. Give them a call and come and see me. I don't hear that phone call coming in. He isn't asking for me. I said from day one, if he wants to fight, if he wants to test himself, let's do it."

Not holding his breath, Bisping says UFC matchmaker Joe Silva could have his work cut out for him booking Punk in a fair fight.

"They're still trying to find an opponent for him. They're trying to figure out, 'Who is someone that Phil Brooks could beat?' That is a question. I don't know. I don't know if I can answer that

I cant wait to see who they match him up with. And I also cant wait to see where they place him on the card. I am sure he will be on the main card of a PPV.

Rich Franklin's last fight makes sense.

Throw the old dog a bone, big PPV fight.

Rich Franklin is 40. Brooks is 37.

Most guys on the roster are probably too young for Franklin and don't make sense.

Guaranteed violent finish. Single strike knockout or multi-strike TKO win for Ace. Possibly Rich just takes Phil down and submits him in under 2 minutes also.

Let Rich take him out back. Having Brooks fight a guy like Franklin makes sense, two former world Champs.

Both guys are straight edge, but Brooks is an atheist. Rich Franklin is a firm believer in god. These guys clash naturally.

interesting suggestion, I like it.
either Rich gets a nice feather in his cap for a send off, or in bizarro world, Brooks legitimizes himself for an opener. (I would be ok with that outcome.)

I think Cathal Pendrad makes sense, but even that fight will never happen. We're probably looking at him getting a 1-0 or 1-1 type guy coming in from a small org.

I can't even imagine him doing well in something like WSOF let alone the UFC.

I'm not a pro wrestling person but I could watch a clip of the Rock and appreciate his mastery. I have tried to understand CM Punk but I don't get his appeal at all. He also seems like some guy in his 30s in good shape who had a midlife crisis and decided to learn Jiu Jitsu. It usually takes a few years for a guy like that to even hang with purple belts during friendly rolling.

You have to wonder just how much someone can learn in a 12-18 month time frame. I know Punk's training with elite guys like Duke, Pettis, Ben, etc...but it takes years for training to become reactionary, so someone can use the skills they've accrued in a fight. I personally hope the guy does well. I've got nothing against him. He seems realistic about this endeavor & humble about where he is in the food chain. He had a dream to compete in MMA & the UFC signed him. It's the UFC that should receive the criticism. But with that said, it's going to be tough to compete with anyone relatively skilled, that's been training martial arts for 5-7-10 years. Just my 2 cents.

A lot of tears and bitterness.. thing is, everyone should be clamoring to be on the card with CM punk. He'll elevate literally everyone on the card with him and make them more money. Bisping is bitter due to him never being as popular or generating that much interest as a guy who's never fought before. It's great to see and also sad. Instead of being cunts about it, they should be talking up the card he will be on so they can get in on it.

Friendly edit of derogatory reference. I know, it's somewhat petty...but the rules have to apply to all. Thank you sir.

agreed. I respect CM punk for going in there and testing himself in MMA but I never found his wrestling character that interesting compared to the entertainment level of a Rock, Macho Man, Hogan, Ric Flair etc.

Even Cathal Pendrad would beat him into a living death.
please. Pendred would bore him to death.
Pendred has even less of a reason to be in the ufc. (ok, sure, I'm exaggerating. a tiny bit. but only just.)

at least Brooks is an athlete. athletic.
he moves more in any one of his "wrestling matches" than Cathal in his last three fights.

(LOL, I just stood up for Brooks. lmfao. it was only because Pendred was mentioned. I can't stand that bum.)

I didnt like him at first.. he won me over big time. Seeing his epic promo in Vegas and that angle of "is he leaving with the belt" was fucking amazing until they cut it too short.

Yeah that rant was really good. His best one and how he went so raw on Raw (no pun intended) talking about how Vince is a douchebag and that his daughter and son are not worthy of carrying the company. You can tell he was not joking and so the company cut off his mic before he said even more.

He never won me over after that though. Great interviews with Ariel Helwani at his house and hes super well spoken but I dunno I couldn't get into that character like i did with some of the others i liked.

I always wonder how a MMA post fight rant would go if someone got mad at Dana the way Punk did with Vince that night. That would be pretty damn entertaining too.
