This is only for parents and grandparents of citizens.
This is only for parents and grandparents of citizens.
And?This is only for parents and grandparents of citizens.
Im not arguing the quality of the policy. And?
It's Emergency insurance coverage as a requirement for visa. Same thing Trump is doing for our visas. Same thing tons of countries do. I traveled fairly extensively in the last few years and often and require to show proof of medical insurance.
Be unhappy with Trump all you want but this is hardly a move without precedwnt in much of the rest of the world, including your country.
It's not a mandatory requirement for Canada.
Okay, let me make the appeal to Europe then since you don't have a problem with Canada's "war on immigrant parents"It's not a mandatory requirement for Canada.

That's for holiday makers to get hospital treatment, not immigrants. Immigrants contribute to society through taxes and as such get health care.Okay, let me make the appeal to Europe then since you don't have a problem with Canada's "war on immigrant parents"
Schengen Visa Insurance – Europe Travel Insurance for Schengen Visa
Schengen Visa Insurance Requirements
Medical insurance for Schengen visa must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum coverage of at least 30,000 EUR (equivalent to 50,000 USD).
- It should cover all member states of the Schengen Area.
- Cover any expenses which might arise in connection with repatriation for medical reasons, urgent health attention and/or emergency hospital treatment or death.
Let's stay focused. It's visa holders outside of immigrant parent children, asylum seekers, and refugees. Not just immigrants and not those without visa requirements.Immigrants contribute to society through taxes and as such get health care.
There's no war on immigrant parents, ya goof.Okay, let me make the appeal to Europe then since you don't have a problem with Canada's "war on immigrant parents"

My hyperbole to yours. There's no war on immigrant parents, ya goof.
Point is, visas often require insurance coverage throughout the world. You realize that's just for tourists specifically seeking the 10 year super visa? There are other visas you know.
I didn't.For those angry with this, did you support the ACA? aka American citizens being required to purchase marketplace insurance? Be honest now.( I did! :-x )
Interesting how we came here. I wanted it, not out of principal really (government forcing the purchase of a private vehicle. I actually supported the whole thing -- requirement + coop competition), but rather to force the actual cost to the forefront such that hopefully said subsidies would then become a voting issue. Marketplace is too expensive that could become a voting issue directly versus the current and previous nebulous "fix healthcare" that politicians all say that will tackle.I didn't.
I was out once they 86ed the public option. Not even the GOP's fault as they were already a firm no no matter what. Ben Nelson and Joe Lieberman held the bill hostage. The Medicaid expansion was insufficient, especially since states could opt out. I also didn't like being forced to buy a product at the behest of the state, particularly without accompanying price controls. It was a market based solution to hopefully trigger a public solution down the road, but in my view the political damage along the way hasn't been worth it.Interesting how we came here. Why were you against it?
This is the most surprising part of your post to me.but in my view the damage along the way hasn't been worth it.
So meth?Chronic use of decongestants is ill advised. You get rebound congestion when you are between doses and they become less effective as receptors get use to them over time.
People have been known to use them illicitly for stim purposes. It'd be a bit odd to be so reliant on them that you are getting British ones when you are rich and have a personal doctor that can provide you managed adderall, etc.
I dunno. I've seen trump make a lot of trips to the heartland where @Kneeblock tells me there are meth addicted whitesSo meth?
When the "perfect call" goes wrong, blame... the outgoing guy!

What do you mean by public charge?@Zeph can you link me to anything about "public charge" as a topic in Europe?
I'm listening to guys like this, but a google is full of US news politicking the topic.
How does the 'public charge' rule work in Europe?
Politically it wasn't worth it. They gave up single payer in hopes of getting there down the road and it sparked the wave of reactionism we're still dealing with to this day. If they'd held to their convictions and screwed over the cornhuskers and Sith Lords, the Dems could've gotten single payer and the accompanying political capital from it. This incrementalism lost them Congress, 2016, and the Supreme Court. This is the most surprising part of your post to me.
Damage to...individuals caught in these last years? The greater mission of selling Americans on solution X for healthcare?
It's 9 AM right now. If you'd like, I could take a drive through parts of Northern Kentucky and take a video of the meth-heads climbing out of the bushes after crashing from last night. There are 3 types of people on the street on a Sunday morning around here:I've seen trump make a lot of trips to the heartland where @Kneeblock tells me there are meth addicted whites
yeah, but you have a lot of functioning meth-heads who work...probably because there's nothing worth stealing.I dunno. I've seen trump make a lot of trips to the heartland where @Kneeblock tells me there are meth addicted whites
