Just finished my last bit of work till the new year. Closed up shop/vacation responder on/voicemail activated/phone put away. Fuckin wonderful, lol

No more illustration work till at least Jan 8, no matter how much they pay me lol. Time to rest and be with friends and family, do creative shit, go to more jiu jitsu, go for winter hikes, and have some fun for a while. Been working stupid hours. Thanks to all for this great forum, it gets me through the work days more than you may know. Merry Christmas TMMAC!!

Saturday I go to the city with a painter friend to see an original Frazetta somewhere

Was gonna work next week but cut the shit out of 3 of my toes monday night so they are mending, and I am not gonna bloody my boots working and risk infection.

I got one of my pole saws out to let my pops borrow it while in town to cut a tree limb so he could park his camper.
I have high end super sharp saws and this one is razor sharp(like razor point sharp)...this is an image of the teeth, although mine has more teeth closer together.

anyways I left it blade down the ground face up...he didn't end up picking it up that day
I always walk around barefoot around my house/yard
In the dark I ran the fronts of 4 of my toes along it, didn't feel a thing.
I looked at it and it was a mess of blood just gushing out.

Each toe front has like 3 deep cuts thru all of the layers of skin...it bled pretty good for couple hours even when elevated.
I cleaned it out with water and oxygenated bleach/hydrogen peroxide...and put neosporin on it when it stopped bleeding...then bandaged it

Now I have to take it easy on that foot for a few days/or a week...2 toes are looking good and two are chewed up and razor cut to shit.

could have been worse...just a barefoot dipshit walking around in freezing temps LOL

His Tarzan pen and inks are my fav of his work. You lucky bastard!! I would love to see any of his original work.

Frazetta was the pioneer of fantasy art. He set the bar. Few have been able to reach it.

He is a true master, and yes his pen and inks are freakin gorgeous

My friend and I have been gawking over his work since highschool, we used to hang out and study his stuff and draw after school. Now as old men we're going to see an original. A painting I think.

I used to think seeing originals were no big deal but this dude showed me its not true. Paintings you've seen online and in books 1000 times just don't cut it compared to the real thing. Colors are always more vibrant etc its a whole different thing.

I'll take some photos if they don't make a fuss about it. Don't know which gallery yet.

Head back to England tomorrow. Been 6 months and 1 week since I was home. First thing I gotta do is go to the estate agent and get a new key, they switched the locks out at my home. Then Saturday it's the Xmas pub crawl with the guys I usually work with back in derby. No real plans after that, just kick back and relax. Yourself?
