what did you use on the mites? those little bastards are hard to get rid of. i always used pokon or avid
Neem oil lots of neem oil and bug bombs. I got them down to a manageable level but they are near impossible to get rid of in one grow. I'll have to wipe the whole tent and all tools down with neem when those girls are done. The next gen are affected but I should be able to eradicate on that cycle they already seem clean.

I'll be on red alert for months though. As you know they call them The Borg for a reason... Resistance is futile.

Interesting info on neem oil for anyone who might need it.

NEEM OIL
The following information was prepared by Al
Fassezke, Master Gardener in Bay City, for San
Toshi, the Tri-City bonsai club. This is a condensed
version of his text.
Neem oil is extracted from the neem tree,
Azadirachta indica. The active ingredient,
azadirachtin, is a naturally occurring insecticide. It
should be noted that naturally occurring (or
organic) does not necessarily mean safe, several
natural compounds are quite toxic. Neem extracts,
however, are used as topical compounds for minor
wounds, as an insecticide in grain storage
containers, and in many other applications.
As an insecticide it works both as a topical (applied
to the plant surface) and as a systemic (watered in
and carried up into the plant cells). It deters egg
laying, it is a growth inhibitor, a mating disruptor,
and a chemosterilizer. Among other effects, it
interferes with the formation of insect skin,
thereby stopping pupation in larvae.
The most common use of neem oil is in a water
suspension as a foliar spray or soil drench, diluted
to a 0.05% solution. (Recommended use for bonsai
is 1 tsp pr quart of warm water). A drop of dish
soap (not detergent) helps keep the oil emulsified.
Neem oil breaks down quickly in water and/or
sunlight. Don’t mix more than you will use in a
day.
Insects ingesting neem oil take about 3-14 days to
die, so there is no immediate result after
treatment. The great benefit is the prevention of
future generations of insects. It is said to be fairly
specific in attacking insects with piercing or
rasping mouthparts. Unless beneficial insects like
spiders, lady beetles, certain wasps, etc. come in
direct contact with spray, it does little to diminish
their numbers.

They really are the spawn of Satan nothing else is that ungodly. The last time I got them they left sheets of silk everywhere waayy late in cycle, I'm swallowing hate at the memory. Neem is great cause it's non toxic but you have to hit them consistently every three days for a month because it doesn't kill the eggs it disrupts the life cycle of bugs by preventing them morphing from larva to pupae to adult. I also don't like using it really late in flower I feel like it has to build up deposits in the flowers

I found out recently you can use it as a soil drench and it goes systemic killing the bugs when they eat the sap I've been fucking around with it but I'm not sure how effective it is yet.

Can anyone tell me the fucking big deal with blue dream. This is the 3rd different time I've gotten it from places in CO, and every time I just don't understand the big deal.
I had some incredible BD in San Francisco that was memorable enough to talk about right now 3 years later. but since then anytime I get it it its not that great. I believe its a combination of hype and that it does get you high enough, thus "big deal".

I am a huge believer in strains effecting each person a bit differently. sometimes I get stuff that my wife swears doesnt get her high, but I get baked to shit. and vice-versa. its actually one of the best things about pot IMO.

Psychotropic Wanderlust @RJJH, would you rather grow the mega cola plant that you posted back on the UG, or a massive tree like this that grows more smaller buds in bulk?

Another bummer about us prohibition states. I never really knew what I was smoking. The only distinction was mexican brick weed vs chronic. I've been reading up lately and am dying to try a nice indica strain. I found myself having a lot more anxiety from smoking before my extended weed vacation and think it was probably due to always getting a sativa-heavy strain.

Just a public service announcement warning to everyone here who doesn't think Weed is a gateway drug and very dangerous.

Ask megatherium @Bib he will tell you the same thing and this is coming from a former reformed Pothead who has been sober for over 5..........Hours.

Weed is the flame
Heroin is the fuse
LSD is the Bomb

I always found that in prohibition states your more likely to find indica than sativa, or at least more indica leaning hybrids.

hey man! I would rather this for sure. the more the merrier lol. but I couldnt do that unless I was a legal grower.

.....the dream.
Hmm. I thought you were growing legally for the medical industry. I need to start paying better attn. Makes that mega bud you harvested even more impressive of a feat though!

in places like California etc. where there really is no winter you just ahve to start the grow in march. budding wont start until august or so, so thats 5 months of vegging. THEN, if you have unlimited soil to grow in (the earth) your roots and plant size are endless.

a good estimate for plant size is 1g or growing medium for 1.5ft of plant. so if you have a 5 gallon bucket or growing medium area, you COULD end up with a 8ft tall plant.

Posting this shit against my better judgement, but fuck it. It was six years ago. I'm pretty sure the statue of limitations has me covered.

Started with six plants.

Used a holllowed out tower speaker that didn't work anymore. Painted the inside white and rigged up a little CFL light fixture.

Learned a little late into the process that clear cups were not a good idea since apparently light can damage the roots. Also had to suffocate some tiny critters with the sand.

Little carbon filter rigged up with a can of vegetables and PC fan.

Not sure if this was a hermie or straight male. It looked to be growing some buds above. Unfortunately, they opened and spread their pollen before I was able to quarantine and destroy.

Ended up with one plant in the end and had to harvest it super early because I was going on a two week vacation. Most. Embarrassing. Harvest. Ever. Luckily I had a good hookup at this point so it's not like I was trying to live off this. Just a fun little experiment with some random bagseed.

hey Ish, that is a hermie. that sucks shit that it pollinated your crop.
Kinda depends if it's genetic or stress induced, stress hermies make decent fem seeds if it's just a few male flowers.
