quite a lot of different irish traveller communities too, different as groups and as individuals. definitely not all bad.

the ones we encountered left dead fighting animals on the roadside when they packed up and left. Dogs and cocks. One site at Stanmer park they offered my parents thousands of pounds for my young sisters, when they left the police found a dead baby in a skip nearby that had no facial features. The story was that they bought young girls so they'd grow up in the community and then provide children to help clean up their gene pool after generations of incest. No idea whether there was any truth to that but I'm still pissed they didn't sell my worst sister :p

One of my mother in laws friends is going out with a gypsy. He wants to be known as a gypsy.

He’s actually a cool dude.

His take on it is there is a big difference between Romany gypsies and their lineage and the Irish travellers.

The ‘real’ gypsies are proud of their heritage and hate the Irish travellers.

It’s complicated and there is a difference. I’m sure a lot of Irish class themselves as Romany gypsy too and they aren’t too keen on the very real stereotype that we have all encountered.

Off the top of your head, not expecting you to know but which type are the gypsies in Aldershot who chase you around trying to sell you heather and when you refuse place a curse on you? Real long shot here haha.

Where on earth did that come from? I’ve had this site on all day as I was at work and didn’t see an escalation like that occurring. Although I have been watching Spurs since 2000.
