Because socialism doesn't fail in a day or a year. It's typically doesn't collapse until 40 - 50 years in.
You cannot take empathetic sound bites over basic economic laws any more than you can take
a nice story about children flying with fairy dust over the law of gravity....there will be a crash.
These systems are already well over the projected budgets that they sold citizens.
Service is worsening with each year. It's simply not sustainable, no matter the good intentions.
You can deny it until hell freezes over, but history will repeat itself, and when it does the majority
of people will suffer from a collapsed system, not just a few in poverty.

Some people need liberalism as an emotional crutch, but many are just misinformed and will adjust when presented with the truth.

We recovered and are doing fantastic.
Did the USSR, Cuba, Vietnam, Eastern Germany, Venezuela, etc.. recover?
