Hahaha, I was literally just looking on youtube for when he was with Korn after Dave Silveira left. He only did one album with them but he's a flippin genius. My kit's in storage (only a basic Tama kit) but could use it to get rid of some current aggression right now.

I love Bozzio, he is a genius indeed, haven't watched that video in ages, fucking mad kit.

I first heard him play with Zappa, this is off the baby snakes dvd cracker and funny as well

I like your style brother, I stopped listening to as much metal a few years back, but I still dip my toe every now and again, no drummers like a good metal drummer.

I know Lombardo alright, animal, like you said, heart and soul.

Tool I have been listening to a bit more lately, since their last album came out, tight as fuck, that video is quality, yer man Carey is amazing.

This fucking Hoglan is the shit though, fuckin hell, I have never heard of him, you are educating me today dude.

Hoglans amazing. Dude has played with so many awesome metal bands.



I wonder if height has something to do with being a great drummer. Danny Carey and gene are both 6’6”.

interesting fact, Hoglan often plays with ankle weight on.

I'd say it helps, most of the drummers I kmow are over 6 foot but one of my favourites Ian Paice is tiny, Bozzio is fairly small as well if I rember correctly, Bonham was over 6 foot, I'm sure they all have serious wing span.

I am going to look into him, Townsend I know, played with Vai, a couple of those bands look familiar to me but I'm not that up on my metal, think I have a Testament album there in the pile.

He's touring with some Italian pop star right now and just announced a new sponsorship with Paiste.

Saw him play with Suicidal a few times. Dude is amazing.

One of my favorite drum fill guys is Brann Dailor, his early work with Mastodon is unreal when it comes to fills
