Yea I miss em, Peter was a national treasure. To quote the man "Everything Dies" Sucls he is gone but atleast his music is still here. Red Water and Everything Dies really help get me through the holiday season. Mom died on Christmas Eve.
I'm ever so sorry to hear that. Mine went in August but your grief is a lot fresher than mine. You're braver than I am. Music is everything to me and I couldn't listen to any of it for a while as she was going and when she went. Not a good idea.

I'm fine and thanks, it's not fresh, this was Christmas eve in the year of 2001. I don't think about most of the time but every Christmas it's impossible not to, was always her favorite day of the year, and when the wife chats with her mom on the phone that time of year it just reminds me more.
I try to rationalize it that it was her early gift to be able to be at peace finally, she was always sick my whole life, spent alot of her life in hospitals, now she don't have to
Doesn't make the loss any less, just easier to deal with as time goes on I guess. Comes in waves of different stages.
Thankfully she and I had nearly no musical tastes in common so while I couldn't really listen to much when it was all going down, I'm not surrounded by reminders by it loads.
I have a massive Depeche Mode tattoo which was a nice memory because when they first started we both used to listen to them, but it was before she got sick so it wasn't BECAUSE of her or in memoriam. It's a bit of a comfort in a way.
