What’s funny to me is, when things are good no one wants government intervention into anything because business owners are job creators! Why have labor laws when it should just be the free market that dictates the rules of the game.
There were two cases of poisoning with the anti-malaria drug chloroquine in Nigeria after President Donald Trump praised it as a possible cure for the new coronavirus.
Have a feeling that that stack of million is off. If we are going off that 10k stack shouldn't there be like a 100 of them where the million is?
Privatize the profits socialize the losses. What’s funny to me is, when things are good no one wants government intervention into anything because business owners are job creators! Why have labor laws when it should just be the free market that dictates the rules of the game.
Then something like this happens and we don’t hold those business owners accountable to assist with helping their workforce? Suddenly they can fire everyone because hey, no one said they can’t so fuck those plebs who cleaned the store or restaurant while the CEOs get a raise before it’s too late for a money grab. It’s just business?
Exactly 100.Have a feeling that that stack of million is off. If we are going off that 10k stack shouldn't there be like a 100 of them where the million is?
Those people were all homeless & hungry before the virus.
Yea perhaps society should do something about that...Those people were all homeless & hungry before the virus.
And they will be homeless & hungry after the virus.
Cool DUMP TRUMP stickers though.
I too would have a meltdown if I couldn't decide if I'm reincarnated as a him, a shim, a her, an it, or a they, or a them....
been seeing a bunch of celebs getting roasted for trying to pretend like this is affecting them the same as everyone else.
Gal Gadot took a beating.
Looks like lots more will join them after the virus. Those people were all homeless & hungry before the virus.
And they will be homeless & hungry after the virus.
Cool DUMP TRUMP stickers though.
Yep. I absolutely think so. And I mean full Chinese-style lockdown. Full temporary fascism.
It's really the only way. People will have to give up their "freedom" for a bit as bad as that sounds.
Otherwise we are going to become Italy 2.0 because they still want(ed) to party.
Namaste
Well........ it is going to happen. What page did I mention this on?
30?
Were "going to become Italy 2.0" by design anyway.
This information was public over a month ago.
The government did this, & the government allows it to go where it will go.
Didn't read the message the company or CEO sent. Just read replies to it. To think replaceable workers should somehow be gifted money by an owner of a business as if they were a family member while the company is out of business, let alone tanking in true worth, is something I can't comprehend. The you have a lot and I have nothing argument isn't how society works. You work for fair compensation, and the business that hires you pays you for it. When a business is no longer in business (ie. not making any money, or in this case losing tons of money), why should they come out of pocket and lose even more? The company doesn't pay unemployment dollars. All companies pay unemployment insurance taxes throughout the year to the gov't, then the gov't pays that money out to people that meet the criteria for unemployment.
You are correct, he can do whatever he wants with his money and his company.
But that message was a touch pathetic. Talking religion and lumping himself in with the $15/hr folks is laughable.
Very possible.Looks like lots more will join them after the virus.
I don't disagree with any of that.Didn't read the message the company or CEO sent. Just read replies to it. I was unaware of the unemployment insurance. With this in mind, the company has paid for the benefit for the workers. Shouldnt the workers file for and receive benefits? Or are you suggesting they should get both out of pocket compensation, plus wages in benefits? Again, most employees are easily replaceable, unless working a highly trained or skilled job.
I wonder if this will trigger more of these "from my house" gigs by performers even after this virus passes. I've watched a couple. It's a pretty cool experience.
The Shock Doctrine.Well........ it is going to happen.
Patriot Act 2: Electric Boogaloo:
DOJ Wants to Suspend Certain Constitutional Rights During Coronavirus Emergency
Good! (?)
Say goodbye to your rights for a while, proud Americans...

Jeffrey Sprecher, who is the husband of Republican U.S. Senator Kelly Loeffler of Georgia, on February 26 sold $3.5 million in shares of ICE, as the exchange is called, at an average price of $93.42 each, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.Since then, ICE shares have plunged nearly 25% amid a broader downdraft in stocks.
Sprecher and Loeffler also sold $15.3 million worth of ICE shares on March 11, at an average price of around $87, SEC filings show.
I'm also seeing videos of normal folk who are stuck in isolation who finally have the time to share their talents with the rest of the world. Super cool shit...I wonder if this will trigger more of these "from my house" gigs by performers even after this virus passes. I've watched a couple. It's a pretty cool experience.
It's an easy way for them to make some quick cash and have none of the touring expenses they typically deal with. And a good way for them to interact with fans.
Business owners didnt create this situation, the government did. I'm not excusing all business owner behavior but the party who creates a problem should be the one responsible for solving it.What’s funny to me is, when things are good no one wants government intervention into anything because business owners are job creators! Why have labor laws when it should just be the free market that dictates the rules of the game.
