I wear full PPE and an n95 (that I have to rotate in a set in the sun to decontaminate because everybody decided that they needed a mask all of a sudden) on a regular basis to evaluate potential covid patients at work right now.

I do not wear a mask to the grocery store or gas station, The only places that I currently go outside of work and home.
I have an n95 mask at work. Should I start wearing it all the time?

Here's some new reports from a local ENT here

Corona virus patients are reporting lost sense of smell and taste. I have no idea the data for this but there's case reports of it so ENT groups are starting to suggest this may be a screening question. Regardless if you have a sudden loss of taste or smell you should call your doc anyway.

Also for mask talk...
An ENT surgery in China for a endoscopic pituitary surgery apparently infected an entire operating room full of people. Apparently this is about as bad as you could get of a procedure. So normally this is a respiratory droplet virus. But if you intubate somebody you have to assume your aerosolizing it. So you go from respiratory droplet precautions to airborne precautions because you are mechanically changing the way the droplets move around. Apparently this case report says everybody was wearing N95s knowing that they were aerosolizing, but people still got infected. this could be from improper wear but you would think the Chinese are pretty good at wearing their gear by this point. So now the group is suggesting to consider respirators for this particular surgery until more details can be figured out.

Is that the specific reason? Everybody decided to stockpile them for themselves? Or is partly the unpreparedness of the Healthcare system an element in this? Looking at ignoring the warning signs at governmental levels and agencies. Can we blame the people for wanting a mask too? Given they are untrained but not informed enough by their leadership? We got caught off-guard, all of us. But isn't the blame at the CDC as well? People will self "medicate" or act if the responsible agencies and governments fail to deliver a protocol or guidelines, or in this case, fail to act on time. We can't simple blame the people here.

there are several states that have their previous state lines but only Texas do I see where it sort of punched out the hunger games border. But I do see what you're saying that Florida reached over and stole our inner coastal waterway.
Houston is a humid shithole. Same thing with New Orleans.

They belong with us.
