According to most medical professionals I've heard speak about it, most healthy people who get it will never know that they had it at all. So although your information may be capped by testing capacity, positive test results aren't necessarily the best indicator of how serious this is or isn't.
i think people have a perverted view of what the medical community considers 'mild'.

10-15% of people under 55 who get it will require hospitalization. Average hospitalization is 17 days.
anything short of a hospital stay is mild, even if it's the worst sickness of your life and lays you out for a week.

My one was an average flu, definitely flu. Lasted about a week or so. I’d had the flu jab so remember being a bit annoyed I had this. It wasn’t a cold. The thing that stuck out was at the end of the symptoms I had a complete loss of smell and taste. I mean complete. That was the worst thing. It lasted for about 5 days I just about remember. I remember thinking this might be permanent was how long it went on for. That was the worst part of it. It came back very gradually. I’m still convinced I don’t have the same sense of smell and taste before the virus. My sister has just had a very similar experience. She had worse flu like symptoms than me but the same lack of taste and smell.

so imo it’s left a permanent scar on me. I’m not the most healthy person in the world but I’m not the weakest either.

it’s a bastard of a virus.

lamsil (oral terbinafine) caused that reaction in me...scared me shitless. Apparently, there's a genetic component, same reaction in my dad.

It’s the weirdest feeling right? Losing any sense is obviously the worse but in order of rank if I had to choose to lose one or die I would have put smell and taste first up. After my bout I’m not so sure.

what sort of fungus did you have?

your dad isn’t Shrek by any chance?

https://worldnewsdailyreport.com/belgium-health-minister-puts-ban-on-non-essential-sexual-activities-of-persons-3-or-greater-in-indoor-areas/

Belgium Health Minister Maggie de Block has put a ban on all non-essential sexual activities of persons 3 or greater in indoor areas.

Health Minister de Block announced today that, effective immediately, “non-essential” sexual activities of 3 people or more are banned in Belgium to combat the spread of COVID-19.

De Block said she was forced to act swiftly because of Belgium’s reputation as being the “beer-drinking” and “group sex capital of Europe.”

“Belgium is the beer-drinking and group sex capital of Europe, if not the world. We, as a nation, must address this situation,” De Block announced in Parliament.

Wife swapping, threesomes, and orgies of six, fifty, one hundred or more are not permitted until the outbreak settles down,” she announced in Parliament.

Health minister De Block did not ban single or two-person sexual practices such as masturbation, anal or oral sex, or even bestiality.

“These measures apply only to human-to-human sexual contact, not human-to-animal contact,” she added when questioned about bestiality by reporters.

A 2018 survey revealed that more than 78% of Belgian couples openly practice wife swapping, a cultural trait that became common practice in the 19th century under the rule of King Leopold II.

Yossarian @Yossarian a Malaysian/Singaporean guy I know says that his race is Chinese. He probably means ethnicity but you get my point - many Chinese people don't consider being Chinese strictly a nationality
I get it. But it doesn't make it so.

The point I am trying to make is, if I call something after where it's from, I shouldn't be considered a racist. Belgian chocolate, Swiss cheese, etc. These adjectives should not be considered racist, and neither should the word "Chinese" be. I want that word to be as normal as the other adjectives. I don't want racism to be watered down like this, I want real racism to be something be fought against, not make up fake racism, to distract us from real racism. We've seen what happened with the word "rape". "Yes, officer! He eye-raped me!" You get the point.

They might be onto something... get we done before the hospital beds fill up ;)
One of my partners is in a high risk group and has suggested that he go get it as fast as possible so he can get a ventilator before they're all taken up. Then he can get back to work afterwards

Think the Spanish flu started in Kansas and the Chinese flu started off as Coronavirus. Like always the Raza gets the short end of the stick.
Kansas, but East Asia (China *cough*...) is also still on the list as the possible origination of that flu. And Spanish flu, is an actual case of using the wrong terms, agreed.

Have they also shut down clothing stores, cinemas and restaurants too?

It might just be they are trying to limit the shops that open to be ones you need to actually need?

So as not to risk passing on the virus?
