That's on them. They were caught without any sign of preparation. To hide this they pretended masks are not helping the general public so our healthcare workers are protected.

There's a lot of science saying 90% of masks are not effective enough in this situation and only the infected should wear them.

Or is that what you mean? Assume everyone is infected?

MBS doesn't really care about anyone or any country.

His utter fuck off to the US when he was high fiving pootin was an example of this.

His other one is continuing to drive the price of oil down to such an extent that it will hit the states just when they will need to sell several fuck tons of oil after 3 months of the blip.
China will be rolling again way before then sucking up as much cheap oil as people will sell them.

Clue.

It's a lot. And it won't be coming from America.

They will buy the world's surplus.
China's still running on coal, bro. You might be reading a little too much into things.

But I'm sure Trump and his top men like Kushner have factored all this into their 14d chess strategy.

Just because I'm too thick not to see their plan and how geo politics are forming I'm sure Trump is...

People are getting their ducks in a row.
No idea what you're talking about here, but when I mentioned the trade war I was pointing out that at the time, he said he was doing it as a matter of national security. People laughed at him, called him a moron, now the rest of the world is over a barrel for medical supplies because they all come out of China. Turns out it was relevant to national security.

The public seems to be missing the point that there's no cure in sight.

Then the renters should be upset with the government as they're the ones who put them out of work. If you're going to force people to stay home, you should be appropriately compensating them for their lost wages. Then they can pay their rent, and their landlords can in turn afford to keep the property they live in. The person who makes the mess, cleans up the mess, see how that works?
Well, this is mostly what is happening. But the problem with the UK and European approach is that it unnecessarily pays out high income earners almost their full wage, just so they can pay their high rents. It subsidizes rentiers at the expense of the public defecit.

You can lower the burden on the defecit if you offer a capped wage subsidy and compensate for those burdened by higher rents by telling rentiers to shut the fuck up. They are only telling them to shut the fuck up a little, but they could do a lot more.

Why should the government subsidize rentiers who do not create value but merely extract it during times of an economic crisis? If rentiers need money, they can join the welfare line like everyone else.

The only thing trump was concerned about was deficit.

He wasn't planning anything.

I do agree with him on intellectual rights though. He was correct to go after them in that.

The rest?.... lest we forget most of the Trump families tat was made in China.

As are hundreds of thousands of other businesses.

They are suffering like the farmers are.

More socialism, sorry government relief all round!

UK has rent and mortgage relief for three months.

Although it does have to be paid back after the 'holiday'

I still don't think it's the answer

I'm not guessing. I'm just listening to experts over here that say it's more important to wash hands and surfaces and don't touch your face.

There is an argument that people touch their face more when they have a mask on.

Well it's actually not an argument. It's fact and the argument is it actually makes it worse if you are not infected.

Covid isn't airborne.

It is not airborne, but yet whenever you talk, cough, laugh particles leave your mouth that may travel up to6ft or more. So when you and I talk in person, and we both may be asymtpomatic, we have reduced the chance drastically. Also, less particles land on services. In addition to washing hands it is a great tool to reduce infection, and help people not to touch their face since there's a mask to remind them. All it takes is people getting used to it.

Australia it's 6 months and our wage subsidies are capped at $750 a week. So people paying high rent are still in trouble. What government should be doing is capping rental income for landlords across the board during the crisis (and then reforming it properly later).

That way it would be able to offer much more consistent and lower wage subsidies for people to meet their basic needs, rather than indirectly subsidizing rentiers.

In an ideal world the landlord just gets his mortgage covered.

No more.

Then after this we see rent caps.

The age of greed is coming to an end.

Yeah, so I have no idea what the fuck you're rambling about, but it has nothing to do with what I was referring to Also, it's adorable that you think business owners should be pnealized for the convenience of the government when it's an issue that was solely created by the government themselves.

But many things we can do to stop or slow this thing. Mass testing and masks for everyone until a vaccine us available.
There's no vaccine coming, homie.

Mass testing would be ideal, but that seems to be all over the map. The thing I wonder about the pro-mask crowd, is do they not know that China is like the all time leader in mask wearing?

Those folks do it all the time just for smog.

How did any of them get sick with all those masks on?

Maybe it was BECAUSE they had all those masks on.

China is also a breeding ground for viruses, wet markets, etc. Doesn't take anything away from the logic behind wearing a mask.
