Im now up to 7 people I personally know with the virus. Two are in terrible shape. One more friend exposed but cant find someplace to test him. These are all in NY. Numbers jumping every day here in Philly.

Modly also noted that Crozier’s commanding officer, the rear admiral in command of the carrier strike group – was also on board the ship, “just down the hall,” and should have been notified about Crozier’s concerns before sending the letter.

You do NOT go over your boss's head to send a letter like that and the military, Only to let your boss find out about it in the newspaper. There's also heavy implication that he leaked it to the San Francisco newspaper himself, especially given that he was from the area.

This is not at all how the military handles escalation of a problem and on the surface of it I don't find the firing nearly as egregious as the intercept would like. You would have to show me more to make the case that they're trying to make here in this article.

If I wrote such a memo and jumped rank, I'd be relieved too.
yeah. there have been political promotions/demotions under this administration, but this is not political.
this is entirely about violating the chain of command.

Can't find a place to test him?

I don't mean physical because not possible but how are their loved ones dealing with it? My worst nightmare at the moment is a loved one being in hospital dying and me not being able to hold their hand because I'm not allowed.

Something else. They're not testing people. People who have been exposed. They're just being told you probably have it and being sent home. Every person I know who has it has a partner or family member at home who they didn't test. A couple have shown symptoms thus far. One tested negative, but that was early on. I know there's a shortage of tests, but if you look at the number of positive cases being reported, it could easily be 1.5 to 2 times that that we COULD know. They're also still telling symptomatic people to stay home unless they have a consistent fever or can't breathe. All of those people are uncounted. It's understandable that the health system is stressed, but if we don't get a comprehensive national testing program, we won't be able to even begin to think about a recovery. Everything we said Italy, Spain, China, and France failed to do, we've perfectly replicated, doing worse in some cases. One of the people I know with this was giving out meals to seniors at a senior center. Who TF knows what they've done.

Don't. We need to try and love each other at the moment, lovey.

I'm sure we're all at the end of our tethers. I have small victories going on which I'm so grateful for, but not that...how scary would that be?
do you meditate?

it is 100 or 500+ times the number of positive tests easily.
