My brother is almost done with the first round of masks. The towels arrived for him to make filters with. And more fabric was shipped today. Our whole family is about to look like sub zero.

I didn't follow any of the instructions, but I think I came up with something that's adequate and involved no labor.

I "liked" the mask part, not the not having a job part. That part sucks, and I hope you get something sorted out.

I have a Buff (neck gaiter) that I use for hunting. I just put a blue shop towel over my nose and mouth, and the buff holds it snug.

I used 1 layer to see how it would function in an actual field test. My understanding is that 2 layers filters better than 1, but 1 layer is still much better than nothing, or just a plain cotton covering.

Blue shop towels are great for filters, got enough of those. just nothing elastic, maybe take it from my boxers lol.

That's why I went with the Buff. It's a stretchy material so it forms to your face.

im using those medical face masks had about 50 of them way before covid they arent n95 im basically just using them so other people don't get sick and I avoid a fine. they are some cheap brand.I think the covid is inevitable if I am not asymptomatic I will probably catch it when I go back to work. I think covid will be with us for many years until with develop a treatment or vaccine,maybe some immunity.
