I used to work 80hr weeks on good money. But I was also pretty much paycheck to paycheck. Sometimes the struggle is real, don't assume people can put away half thier paycheck for a rainy dayPeople having funds to own a car and pay for gas but incapable of going 2 weeks without a check before running out of funds to by food sounds more like a personal responsibility issue in terms of household budgets.
Many people live on handouts simply because it's easier to do that than to get a fucking job. It's tough to regulate laziness.
