reference?
I am sure we could both search and find vastly different percentages...from various websites.

I have seen it at .1 give or take some...of course some countries will have much larger numbers.

Most of the original models have been long discarded

If I see one in that range that seems decent in the next lil while I will post it and tag you.

Not every mandate is some fucking assault on rights..... Swear to Lord fucking Xenu, this country is filled with entitled bitch ass pansies. We don't want an overtaxed medical system (leading to people with other medical ailments not receiving the treatment they need), a lessened workforce due to Americans being sick (facilitating corporations feeling the need to outsource to other countries), and potential killing of our live event/sports/commerce centers industries, all because fat dumbfuck Americans are complaining that their rights are being violated to go out for Taco Tuesday and Starbucks.
I just don't think that a clear national strategy was ever articulated, even if that strategy was to let states organize themselves with backup from the FedGov.

Lacking any strategy, you've just got a bunch of draftees living in trenches in this 'war' on the virus.

Weren't you crying about concerts being canceled when this all started?

i've taken to looking at the overall deaths as compared to statistical historical projections.
You can't hide dead people, and people tend to die in predictable patterns, year over year.

so when I see that 18.5k people died in NYC this year, compared to a stable 5yr projection of 5.1k, it tells me that a lot of people are dying.
Death rate is up a lot in NYC.

Went to Safeway a bit ago, wore a mask, had latex gloves, was sneered at like I was stupid. When did self preservation become something to laugh at? 10% of us in masks I reckon, including the staff.

Crying? No.... Upset/irritated that I was losing 20k in my earnings for this time period? Yes..... Understanding that we all need to sit on the bench for a bit and let this play some minutes before we all get back in the game? Most definitely..... Tired of people thinking that their rights are being infringed upon because we're being told that "maybe we shouldn't mass gather due to the fact that this shit can spread/infect large groups of people" ABSOLUTELY!!!

Well outside of the whole "if you wanted a better response, maybe you shouldn't have disbanded the response team to pandemics" part aside.... I'm not sure you could have planned for something that they didn't expect.... And with no proper planning or response, well.... Here we are.

agree to disagree boss

no disrespect intended

You and those protesting should still be working if you choose to...Massive Massive overreaction going on

This isn't about working for the man, this is about working for yourself

Those events you speak of? Probably already killed em...most summer festivals I know of are on shaky ground right now. Fear is the new norm. We are being conditioned.

Death rate for this thing is dropping every second.

PS...I haven't had taco bell or starbucks in many many years:eek:
Yes if you choose to work, great.... But your employees in a heavy litigation society filled with frivolous lawsuits shouldn't be forced to take on the risk of mass infecting people, because Tina wants to work her job on the pole, or whatever.

Those events I know of are canceled. Lots of work lost, but I've dealt with the same thing after 9/11..... Fear wasn't the norm after, nor after mass festival/show shootings.... It'll be ok. Until then, I sit and wait.

Good that the rate of death is dropping, bad that it isn't because of a vaccine, so when this thing flairs up again, we'll be right back to this.

There are conspiracies out there, but there are also groups of dumbfuck people.

bruh...the Chinese had a city locked down, doors welded shut on apartments, spraying streets with white clouds...I know the 'intel' available to the public, and Stevie Wonder could see that something was coming. Time to gear up PPE and testing capabilities, for example.

Happy uplifting tears but tears all the same.

I just got a call from one of my doctor's assistants to check up if I was okay. Like general well being okay as well as any medical issues or if I just wanted a chat.

Puts your faith back into humanity when something like that happens. I took her name, I'll find a way to send an email to her boss. I thanked her for everything she's doing for us then broke down in tears after we said goodbye.
You good?

Gilead data suggests coronavirus patients are responding to treatment

More data. But don't trust it too much. Early and trust no Gilead.
Hey, Doc, what do you make of the US's plans to open up the economy?

In the last day for which data is available, the US had 30,000 new cases. At its peak, Italy's worst daily figure was 6,000 new cases. So even per capita, the US right now is basically at Italy's worst, and 'per capita' doesn't mean everything when we are talking geographic spread.

Italy has only successfully managed to reduce its peak to half that amount after a month of lockdowns. If the US followed the same pattern, that would mean it it could only get its cases down to 15,000, more than double Italy's peak. So the idea of opening the economy in two weeks...

Wisconsin announced today that all schools will remain closed for the rest of the year, and the remain at home orders are extended until May 26.
