Nice. I spent a summer over there in 2002, in a flat on Capel st. What an awesome city, pure madness during World Cup games. Long live Robbie Keane and Damien Duff.

I have to come back to this thread to respond to this post or else I am just being rude, sorry Pony.

I do shit on Dublin city sometimes talking about it on here but it is a good town, always good craic to be had, always mental during a world cup as well, when we qualify, which is never any more .

They brought oul Mick back recently , I'd say he'd kill to have half the squad he had then, after the other Keane had a melt down over the training facilities and fucked off home we did better than expected, Spanish bastards barely got us.

I never go into town any more unless its an occasion or I am workin in there and if I do its Fibbers or bruxelles, where were you drinking?

Don't say temple bar

I’ve got nothing against any boys from Dublin.

My boxing coach grew up there

https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/21482

and I’ve had many great times (and the cunts always found trouble no matter where we were) with his relatives that have come to visit.

"fuck you" line break, line break, line break, "namaste"

pretty witty and powerful, need I say, potent, 3 word comment imo. I wish my verbose ass could do what Jason does

Haha love it, his name doesn't ring a bell, I've been to my share of cards in the national stadium, I would have only been a kid when he was still here by the looks of it though.

Haha I don't doubt it man, probably from ringsend or east wall, they are all mad.

The whole Roy Keane saga was unfolding when I was there. It’s wild how the World Cup took over the whole country. It definitely was cool to see. I’ve never been a soccer fan but I sure got invested in that team.
Had my first Guinness there too, and fell in love with it, nectar of the gods. I also enjoyed that dark brown hash that was floating around there, it wasn’t terribly strong so you could still function properly.
It was an incredible summer. I could go on about it forever.
I just realized that I haven’t spoke about it in some years.
Cheers mate!

You only go to the Temple Bar to hang with other tourists and I did plenty of drinking there. I know I went to the Brazen Head more than once and I really liked The Quill. Plus there were a few pubs around our place on Capel st., but I don’t remember the names.
I sold World Cup Pins for the ISPCC (I think that’s the name) and we drove out to some old 2-3 story pubs on the outskirts of the city and those were amazing. Lots of older folks dressed nice and having drinks with their friends. It felt like a tradition to sit and have a few pints with your friends every weekend. Good Shit

it's a very aggressive response followed ny some spaces and the namaste which is a very peaceful response

so I guess it could have different interpretations. but for me, it was like a "fuck you :p"

like a playful, flirty type "fuck you"

I guess it could've been a truthful FU with namaste as a patronizing final stamp

ones nice. ones mean. either way, it was pretty funny lol

All the Irish dudes I know don’t give a fuck. Anytime I went out with them I was either breaking up fights or getting dragged into them

Marks nephew came over one time and we were shooting fireworks from our hands at cars and each other. My wife made me leave the party around 1am. From what I could piece together from other people’s recollections at the gym on Monday about 2:30an 5 pro boxers started trading blows inside the house of the birthday boy (one of the boxers) directly due to the Dublin nephew’s shit disturbing.

Good times with good cunts.

Hah yeah Roy was/is a head case, great player though, one of the best ever from this island.
I am not that big a fan either to be honest but you have to be when the world cup is on, whole country goes mental, was the same in 90' when we beat Italy, I was only a baby then though.

2002 I was old enough to have a few gargles went into town for a few matches, yeah the green wasn't as easy to come by those days, thats moroccan man, soap bar as we call it here, some of it was shite but if you got a nice clean bar of it it was grand, nice stone you can operate on and have a few pints.

Haha I am only taking the piss, if you are visiting you have to go there, just stay out of fitzsimons, brazen head is a good spot as well, must visit for a tourist, Kennedys too, even if it is a kip. The quill I don't know, wonder if its still going under that name.

It still is a tradition to have a few pints at the weekend, well not at the moment obviously with the lockdown, but it is dying a bit in general, still plenty of good spots around though.

Hahah, sounds like a good session alright, nephew must be a little bollix.

If they could remember what they were even fighting about I'm sure everybody was grand in the morning, although probably dyin.

We used to go up to St. Stephens greens and get it from some dudes we met. My buddy bought a big bar of peat when we first got there. Fucking hell did that give you a headache. Went over to Amsterdam for a weekend and smuggled a bunch of weed and hash back in a shampoo bottle. Thank god I didn’t have my cocaine habit back then. Admittedly I did a bit of E and racked a few rails but I hadn’t went pro yet.
I hope I can make it back there one day. I’d skip the city for the most part and hit the countryside

The wives stepped in and no one was allowed to get together for a spell but that eventually passed.

But, after that, the scraps kept happening. Guys were getting jumped or bottled at bars when they went out together because of previous altercations that had occurred. I quit hanging out with them after I almost got dragged into multiple fights when I was just out for a good time.

Unfortunately a boxing friend and Riggs were out by themselves at a bar and got jumped and bottled from behind by a group of 8 dudes one night. After he got out of the hospital his wife (understandably) put an end to him hanging out with his boxing buddies.

If I could find it now I’d probably keep smoking. It didn’t fuck with your head much and it just relaxed ya. Like this Harley Tsu or CBD stuff I got. Not heady at all and is perfect before bed. I hardly smoke it as it is but that dark hash was incredible. Very calming and enjoyable.

I used to make bubble hash years ago and Jesus Christ that shit fucked me up. I don’t think I ever truly enjoyed it. Never kept me from smoking it though, like the proper dosser I was/am.
