You have to understand why some people wear masks. I've had to go to doctors/hospital a few times and a couple of other higher risk places so I wear one when I do.
I'm not trying to stop myself from getting it. I have allergies and was sneezing. I was wearing a mask not for my sake, but so that everyone around me didn't have a fucking heart attack when I sneezed. Of course I was touching my face every now and then - that fucking thing was filling up with more snot than a toddler's sleeve.
Masks do a bit to protect other people from infected people rather than the other way around. If you are infected and sneeze in public, better to be wearing a mask than not wearing one. There is danger from secondary contact, but it's got nothing on direct transfer. If you touch a railing, you are unlikely to get it. If some cunt sneezes in your face, you're fucked.
