None of that proves intent to kill.
Their story is that they were attempting a citizens arrest. Most people don't seem to be questioning that. Attempting to arrest someone and intending to kill them are two very different things, and people are innocent until proven guilty. It is the burden of the district to prove intent. I do see how they can do that.
Sure, they might make up a what-if story, but that isn't proof.
