It doesn't stack up.

I don't know which executions you've watched, but I've never seen one where the shots are fired while the "victim" gets to fight for control over the gun.

Not entitled to kill anyone for burglary. But definitely entitled to a citizens arrest/open carry and then ultimately self defense after he attacked them.

Their story is that they were attempting a citizens arrest. Most people don't seem to be questioning that. Attempting to arrest someone and intending to kill them are two very different things, and people are innocent until proven guilty. It is the burden of the district to prove intent. I do see how they can do that.

Sure, they might make up a what-if story, but that isn't proof.

But surely you can see that isn't correct?
