Of course, but you see the standard of living is actually much higher in many of its vassal states. That's the problem for Americans. The empire is not good for you, only a small number of your elites. Remember, the 2nd, 3rd and 4th most powerful countries, China, Russia and India are shitholes too.

You won't find people from Switzerland complaining that they don't have an empire - they are perfectly content with just being on average the richest cunts in the world, alongside us.
