I'm curious which science is saying kids shouldn't be at school? The regional children's hospital here has advised in favor of kids going back to school because it's what the science dictates.
I think part of the issue is that children aren't the only ones in school. Do we fire older, more experienced teachers because they are more at risk?
From what I've been made to understand younger children are very poor disease vectors in this instance. In the case of older kids masks address most other concerns.

Now how many of those 18 million have their job on hold. For example restaurant servers, cruise ship workers, movie theater employees Etc.
The discussion started from the statement that we should cancel stimulus checks and force everyone back to work. That would be based off the current conditions... And as I keep saying 13 million Americans will be left without an opportunity or any supports.
I am not arguing for either side I’m just pointing out the fact that it’s not true there are more jobs than there are people in need.
Are we pretending the current conditions will stay static and like this? Those 5.4 million jobs are the only jobs that will ever become available?

I’m not saying that. What I am saying is there is currently 18 million unemployed and only 5.4 million job openings. If today you cancel the stimulus benefits, that would leave 13 million without any where to turn. Tomorrow it could change the next day could change but today those are the numbers.
They would have to continue to do the things I mentioned earlier.....
