The original video is making fun of her vernacular which is pretty hilarious. But I've also worked in areas of the country where women come in to ask for "a checkup" which is really just code for getting an STI test. And they do this over and over and over because they aren't empowered to call a man out to go get his test. And the men are running around often. Indeed I rarely see men come get their STI test when women regularly get a new partner and say hey I just want to get tested. As much as I think the video is hilarious, since we're bringing it all the way back to why the tongues are clacking, cardi B's emphasis on women putting their health at risk because they are deferring to men who don't take care of their own health is probably a good statement on telling those women to take some accountability for their health.
And a song about WAP is purely made to shock and bait a response and is working like a champion. It's not new and the controversy isn't the fact that she drugged and robbed people before she was a rapper, which again I emphasize is shitty.
