If so it appears we found an unexpected area where everybody agrees.
As a Mexican-American I obviously relate and sympathize with the little girl. I find nothing wrong with that she said except for the whole Trump putting kids in cages simply because Obama built lots of those cages and put kids in there. I've posted pics of them. This whole kids in cages started because one of Obama's ex staffers I believe, posted a picture of them and blamed it on Trump. He then had to delete his post but the damage was done.
But like I said, I don't like using kids for stuff like this. Same thing with the Covington kid next week. I support him defending himself and what happened to him was terrible but I don't think it's a good look using him at the RNC...

That's above my paygrade to answer. The optics are terrible but I wouldn't know where to start when dealing that how big of an issue this is.

Well so close to a universal topic. I'll go on record and say it's wrong to put kids in cages like that. I'm a pretty strong immigration hawk, but that's screwed up.
Yeah immigration and what to do with minors who are caught coming in with parents and without. I was legit shocked when I saw the photos of kids in cages. Just hate that it's always "Trump put kids in cages" when no one said a word when Obama started doing it as President.
Yes. It's a shit article. Ryan adds no value to anything other than saying "Trump deported her but... Clinton had already deported her(caught and border and returned to sender) and Obama was going to..(but he didn't)" and provided little to no context to any of the decisions that any of the 3 administrations made.
If there had been something beneficial then I wouldn't have called it out at all. If the article and title had focused on the video that had taken shitty Trump comments out of context and made them shittier than they really were then it would be a decent article.
But that's not what happened.
I would agree that you shouldn't use children as political props. I also don't think that you should deport the mother of a citizen that's also married to a veteran. But maybe I'm crazy...

Do you think Trump knew kids were being put in cages? Or was it a border patrol policy built out of tons of bureaucracy in which you can't let the kids go but you can't deport them etc etc etc?

So I'm good either way. Happy to blame Obama and Trump or happy to give both the passes the executive isn't always aware of every departmental policy at the ground level.
But now that Trump is acutely aware, due to public backlash, that the policy is going on, he clearly supports it, right? He could get rid of it and then it's Obama's burden to carry. But since he doesn't and he's currently in power, it seems that he's gone from being a passive persistent to a more than active one. Even if you supported it before, he now supports it in the face of significant criticism.

Some of that is timing. Some of that is because Trump says dumb shit. And some of that is super fucking valid.
Obama should have rightly been blasted for it but for media and personality reasons it went unrecognized by the masses. If Obama had have been so vocal on twitter and invited as much real "side show act" vibe with his theatrics as Trump does then there would have at least been some discourse about it in the moment.
A decent amount of it really is timing. So much of the news is now conducted in a scary unprofessional way that's both good and bad. If a person with a grudge is willing to dig enough they can rip a scab off of an old wound and make sure that everyone knows all about the shit that is happening beneath the surface.
That has fucked the Trump administration and revealed a lot about previous administrations in retrospect.
I really wish that Trump wasn't such a cunt of a human because so much of the bullshit wouldn't exist. The nation would "feel" better if a boring douche like Pence was president even if he would be legislatively worse for the nation.
Biden will be slaughtered if he wins in November. Every time he has a stroke on tv or is within 30 feet of an adolescent and his nose perks up....

For me in response Tulsi is legit and so is WV's Joe Manchin. I've also always liked Harold Ford Jr. from Tennessee who was so close to being a Senator. Lastly, I've always liked Joe Biden until now. I might've voted for him in 2016 if he ran and I have no doubt he would've won...
