I've never had a bad enough leak I felt the need to patch, I have a pair of cabelas and have exchanged them once. I heard flex seal works as well.

Also, for you non-mamsypamsy's who you live bait, this is hands down the best bait bucket I've owned. The minnows have been in there since yesterday, changed the water once today. There's also a space on top for night crawlers.
