It barely works for senior citizens. Just went through some really tough years with my grandmother and it was amazing what treatments they wouldn't pay for and what they outright refused. Even pain pills. It is hardly a good system, and it certainly is not sustainable for an entire population of people. The country would be bankrupt in no time. There was a reason why Obamacare increased premiums by 300% (and was continuing to go up until Trump stepped in). Access to healthcare is not treatment for healthcare.

Government control is never cheaper, and it always sucks. Medicare for all would make up for something like 75% of the federal budget.

Government already runs a lot of the healthcare system and in the case of Medicare does a good job

We make politics. We force them. Sometimes we lose, but sometimes we get an increment and sometimes we get an avalanche. We can either spend the next 4 years crying about neoliberalism on here or we can push them.
They “run” the VA. That should be all we ever have to say. No junkie (unless they are a vet) should get any treatment before all vets are treated. Slightly off topic but what did people think would happen the moment that OR legalized meth and heroin? Did they think there would be less junkies??
