90% of the lakes a fish are no motors allowed. Some allow electric. Keeps my lunch extra fresh and tasty.
You're thinking inside the box, get out of that box sir. There is a jet for every occasion.

Sex Chicken @Sex Chicken trout will bite in winter but just not as often and they fight less. I’m sure you’ve seen dudes ice fish in your area? Little warming hut, ice auger and short rod? Im planning to go river fishing later this week before it’s too cold. I caught some in a local lake last week and I was about 45’ deep in a lake that’s deepest point is 65’. Surprises they stay that deep still but that’ll change lake to lake.

Yeah. I’ve gone ice fishing a few times. When I was a younger man we used to do these disgusting trips to North Bay where 4 or 6 guys would get a hut with bunk beds for the weekend and just fish, drink and smoke like animals.

I also used to go ice fishing around Ottawa, my buddy has a bunch of real backwoods cousins who live up there. They ice fish all winter long. They have wood burning stoves in their huts. One time my buddies cousin was all pissed up, and dove into a fishinghole in one cabin and swam up into the cabin next door. They are crazy hillbillies.

Have you looked into kayak conversion kits that put long skates on the bottom? You can cruise along and if it gets too thin you don’t have to worry about going in the water. Ice pics at the end of your paddle or setup a small sail.

That sounds awesome. I’m looking into getting a wet suit so I can kayak all winter. They are expensive as hell.

That’s not a bad idea. I guess I just pictured seeing a huge winter carp and sliding silently into the water in my wet suit like an otter, and choking it out.
I'll tell your what, I don't envy carp that live in bodies of water you frequent. They must live in fear year round.

May want a dry suit instead of a wet suit for that.

I also have no idea what I am talking baout when it comes to wet and dry suits, so keep that in mind
