There's been plenty of whataboutism from the GOP, but I haven't seen anyone condone what took place.
Trump is the face of the GOP. He encouraged it right before it happened. His daughter called the rioters "patriots" in a now-deleted tweet.

Condone? No. It would be political suicide.

Endorse and encourage? Absolutely.

Yeah, but you are taking the actions of 1 deranged manchild and a tweet from a smoking hot babe with great tits, long legs and a perfect ass and assuming their thoughts are the same as the entire GOP.

Most of the people at the rally were patriots. Many interviewed on site said they didn't approve with the storming of the Capitol.

If anything, I've seen a unified response of disgust for what happened.

Other GOP politicians encouraged his words before the fact. And many have refused to reject him after the fact.

"Party of law and order" is full of shit.

A mind blowing stat to me is that there are 2,200+ Capitol police. 22 fucking hundred officers primarily to protect a couple of buildings (yes, I know they have to provide security for congress members too, but they were in the buildings at the time) and they can't even do that. That's completely separate from the 4,000 regular DC police too.

I guess it's not surprising that a ridiculously bloated force whose members stand around scratching their dicks all the time can't effectively respond to an actual emergency.

It's something Americans often don't comprehend, is that while you whine about socialist gubments, you probably have the most inherently wasteful public sector in the developed world because of your security state. You have so many completely useless jobs in policing, military, intelligence, prisons, courts etc. on top of the usual bureaucratic bloat you find in other countries too.

If you don't think Antifa had a pressence I don't think you've been paying attention. They are all about chaos.
antifa had a presence , the feds had agent provacteurs in the crowd as well but maga did most of it on their own. to just dismiss antifa and the feds is foolish to blame it all on antifa is foolish as well. there were bad actors on all sides involved in what happened

Do we know where Nancy's podium is? I wouldn't mind having that.

This happens on a local level quite regularly. Remember the Parkland school shooting?

Same agency, new sheriff, same shit lol

It’s starting to sound like many cops didn’t show up for work that day.. as well, some were encouraging the poor behaviour until things got out of hand. DC cops and police union members heavily support the Trump administration.
