No doubt I can be opinionated which can rub people the wrong way, it happens.
I used to be admin in another community for a while, it's a hassle.
I was offered to be a moderator of the biggest gaming site in the country when I wasnt even of legal age. And I refused because even then I knew that I didnt want to have power over others. Owner/admin of the site got his feelings hurt. Since then I promised myself that I will always try not to talk to admins and mods so there would be lesser chance of them falling in love with me
It's not so much the power thing but the exhaustion that comes with it. I'm sure the creators would rather be players on the field instead of having to become a referee every so often, and then having people demand explanations n such. It drains energy you'd rather spend elsewhere. Takes commitment.

well in my case my potential boss liked his ass being kissed, he didnt know how old I was otherwise he wouldnt have offered me that position. He thought I was an adult who could do his job. After I refused he didnt care whom he would pick so he just picked a few that kissed his ass the most. That site had become a shithole shortly after. They were censoring comments that criticized everything about xbox because the site had some deal with microsoft. It was unbearable. I left, good riddance.
