how many shares did you buy?
Not enough. Haha. I own 475 shares @ an average of $3.36

Pre-market right now is $7.78 - up 56%
This is nuts.

I usually take my initial investment out when I double up and keep the remaining shares as "house money" - but I might see how this plays out. If GME happens to this stock I'll be a happy little Hauler.

Teach me about this stuff a little, I know very little. Let’s say I have $150 to start with. Is that even worth working with and how do I do it?

Yes, I tossed about that into AMC, it's now worth over $400 in a matter of a day. You can definitely start slow and build up. Pay attention to what Hauler @Hauler and especially Lukewarm Carl @Willthiswork say, ignore what I do.

Is there a post somewhere that explains what app to download and start with?

I feel like stocks are the lotto for wealthy people lmao

I saw $17 for a bit.
It will fall a bit at open. People will take profits. After that - who knows.

Shorts might be quick to exit after seeing what happened with GME.
It'll be interesting.....I'd like to buy another boat this year, so if it could break $300 that'd be great.

Okay. I am signing up for an account on TD Ameritrade. Can I have two? I want one for me and one for college savings for me son. I have a savings account for him, but I’m not wealthy enough for it to do very much with 3% interest. I also opened a life insurance and college savings for him. I want one for me and one for him.

I sound like an idiot right now. I know. ?

Open the account for yourself then reach out to TD Ameritrade support, they are very helpful and will be able to point you in the right direction.

Sure.
You just need to open a brokerage account. (E*Trade, Ameritrade, Robinhood etc). You can invest as little or as much as you want.

Then you just purchase stocks with the money you deposited into the account. They go up - you make money when you sell. They go down - you lose when you sell.

The volatility we've seen with GME and now maybe AMC is absolutely INSANE. Not for the faint of heart.
