The homeless problem in Austin has gotten way out of control. They have literally set up encampments all over town. Hundreds and hundreds of tents all over the place and along roads.

and yes, severe addiction and mental health seem to be the primary struggles.

they are truly everywhere. I found a homeless people camp in my woods a few summers ago. I’m in a pretty rural area outside a huge city but there’s no buses to my forest lol.
