First time watching boxing?Really hoping Askren wins this, but with the amount of money involved I’m not sure if Askren believes or cares if he can win. Someone offers a few million for an amateur boxing match and you take it regardless of your chances.
I’m surprised Paul took this fight, if he beats an MMA fighter with decent fighter he can say “My boxing is at a UFC level”, but he’s fighting a guy notorious for his lack of stand up. If he wins it doesn’t really prove anything, If he loses his stock bottoms out, and he’ll gave a hard time generating interest for his next one.
i wouldnt be surprised if the majority of paul's fanboys are unable to distinguish between a proficient MMA striker and Ben Askren. this is Jake or Boxing vs MMA in their minds, even though its far from accurateReally hoping Askren wins this, but with the amount of money involved I’m not sure if Askren believes or cares if he can win. Steve Cunningham? Should I know who this is?
on some podcast, i believe i heard ben doesnt get PPV points. i wonder if anyone other than Jake will...
He is a retired heavy/cruiser that was a perennial top 10 for a good chunk of his career and a former IBF cruiser champion.Steve Cunningham? Should I know who this is?
At least Mir knows the equation is a paycheck for another KO. But everyone involved in this fight is still a piece of shit for allowing it to happen.Frank Mir: Steve Cunningham Fight Is Most Difficult Boxing Debut, He's Tougher Than Tarver
Frank Mir is no stranger to the fight game. The former UFC heavyweight champion has fought 32 times as a mixed martial artist and racked up 19 wins. The forty-one-year-old will be looking for a new kind of victory when he makes his professional boxing debut against Steve Cunningham on April 17...www.boxingscene.com
i predict that Frank gets knocked out. Cunningham looks like he stayed in shape and Frank has been knocked out in the past, so it is not like he has a steel jaw.
This is the ideal male body. You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like.

For perspective he had Tyson Fury down in their fight , despite being outweighed by 20+lbs. Fury called it his hardest fight when he was interviewed about it on Rogan a while back.
Cunningham is not retired that long and has plenty left in the tank to box a guy like Mir, the Tarver fight was silly, this is ridiculous.
He is a slick pro with a lot of high level fights under his belt, this is no journeyman, Mir is going to get killed and early.
