if you're including "how chokes work" in that list, then you're conceding the prosecution's case and consider Derek Chauvin guilty of 2nd Degree Murder.

EDIT- everybody agrees that chokes are against policy. the defense contends that the position wasn't a choke and wasn't positional asphyxiation, both of which would make Chauvin guilty of Murder2. Defense contended that it was drugs, bad heart, COVID, struggle stress, etc that just happened to add up to a dead George.

I'm including "how chokes work" in the sense that I know how they work, and he didn't get choked. It's a stretch to even call that position a choke. What the defense contended seems reasonable.

so you don't think that anything Derek Chauvin did was a substantial contributor to George Floyd's death, acknowledging that it was outside the authorized techniques of the MSP?

No. I think any interaction with the police would have had a similar outcome given his state at that time.

Basing my opinion entirely on what I know of his state of physical health and what I saw on the video from the beginning of the interaction until his death. I've heard some other stuff, but haven't watched the trial terribly close I already know how it turns out.

Ok. I guess you wouldn't be surprised if the jury found guilty of murder 2.

But if they sit him up after 3m, he still dies?
