In the literal sense Hitler wasn't a good orator, but he was a very successful one.
He relied more on stylistic devices outside of the actual words, and didn't sound sophisticated like Obama did.
In this I feel the comparison is flawed.

But, Hitler's speeches were definitely the basis for his power and ability to control and steer people.

In part this is the case for many of histories worst leaders.
Which is one of the main reasons why people that were of the opinion "who cares if Trump says mean things", seemed so uneducated / ignorant.

Keep in mind that Hitler tried a coup by force first in the early 1920s, and failed miserably. Only then he changed tactics to speeches and rhetoric, which then culminated in enough power to do real harm by force.
Those things matter.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott Blames Biden for Cartel 'Terrorism,' Cites Crime From Trump Era

Abbott penned a letter Thursday that urged the White House to officially designate cartels as part of the U.S. foreign terrorist organization list. Abbott claimed Biden's reluctance to add cartels to the list is part of his rollback of Trump's "hardline" border stance, but the GOP governor failed to mention that the former president publicly threatened to add the cartels to the list but ultimately backed down.

Abbott's Thursday letter and Friday remarks on Fox & Friends listed numerous violent incidents of cartel trafficking, kidnapping, and murders as evidence that Biden supports "open borders." But all of the atrocities he listed from the Los Zetas and Gulf Cartel occurred in 2019 or 2020 under Trump's administration.

"Every single Floridian should be outraged by this blatant attempt to erode our First Amendment right to peacefully assemble. It is outrageous and blatantly unconstitutional. Gov. DeSantis' championing of and signature on this law degrades, debases, and disgraces Florida and our democracy."
