The white guys / residents of that neighborhood are the ones on trial who (are suppose to) get the presumption of innocence.
of course, everyone who hasn't been convicted of a crime deserves the presumption of innocence.
it's not mutually exclusive.

This along with Derek Chauvin in the George Floyd case but he's been given everthing but this exact same thing by almost everyone...

While I agree he should be given the presumption of innocence, there is clear video evidence in that case, so it isn't like everyone is presuming he's guilty off the cuff. Many people have seen the eye witness videos as well as the body cam video of that incident and made a decision based on that evidence.

Isn't there a video in both cases?

There is, but the videos that were made public in this case don't clearly show the entire course of events. There was a video of him in a garage, running out of a garage, and video of the altercation involving the use of guns. Nothing in between, and the cops didn't do diligence possibly due to a preexisting relationship with the family accused.

I'm not saying that makes them guilty. I'm just saying it isn't thoroughly documented like it is in the Floyd case. Between watching the body cam video of their approach to Floyd, his reaction and how that changed throughout the interaction, and how Chauvin in particular reacted over the course of several minutes, I think there is stronger evidence for the public to see.

There was a black dude who used to jog through the neighborhood with a shirt that said "JOGGING NOT ROBBING" on the back.
It was both funny and sad at the same time.
I live in a very affluent neighborhood and refuse to jog a night
because of being stopped and questioned so many times.

The shit gets old man

Trying to not be an angry black man is
a full time job in this fucking country.

If I wore a shirt that said something like that I'd be accused
of being over dramatic and playing the race card or whatever
the fuck that means.

Trust me... The last thing I ever want is a situation
where I have to play the race card. Its the OPPOSITE
of a situation I want to be in.

I never once had issues when I lived in Brazil... but here in my
own damn country is where I have problems.

Literally was out yesterday morning and had a cop stop me and ask:

"Are you on probation or parole"? WTF!!??

I went off on that stupid bigoted mutherrfucker.

I try to stay out of threads like this.

It just pisses me off. Ruins my day, makes me an
angry asshole and in the long term only hurts my own
health

It fucks with your sanity and turns you into
someone who isn't you and you don't want to
be

Today that incident was still on my mind and I blew up at
an old dude in Walgreens because he accidentally cut in
front of me in line.

In my head I'm thinking "This pompous jack ass thinks I don't live
in this neighborhood, I'm beneath him and therefore he can cut in front of me"

In reality I was behind a display in the line and he just didnt see me.

He apologized profusely

I felt so bad because once again I allowed a negative
experience to change me as a person and project that
negative reality onto someone that didn't deserve it.

We all have to do better and look out for each other in this world

People made fun of the CDC for this and it got some talking heads talking about snowflakes and libtards and whatnot.

There are real health consequences. If you live in an environment that is constantly stressful it makes you obese and kills you early. Stress hormones make us fat, give us heart disease, and result in a myriad of behavioral health issues.

You're a good example of somebody who recognizes this and is consciously trying to avoid that harm. But also your story is a good example that the external causes matter not just the internal mindset.

People made fun of it because it's completely undermined by multiple mental health statistics.

This is so true. I could cite study after study but its pointless

I'm also already tramautized. I've had high blood pressure
since my late twenties. Just as many in my community.

I understand your view

I'm sure you could pull studies just as I could pull studies

Its a circular argument that is never helpful though.

I can only submit to you that when you live it you really see it

I don't get the same treatment from the same health facilities
as my "all american looking blonde haired friends".

One of my buddies cant believe I get asked if I'm on crack
or drugs from physicians.

I'm like bro I always get asked stupid shit like that

Its one reason I hate going to the doctor.

The other day I was in 7-11 grabbing some coconut water.
The clerk asks if I will be paying by "EBT" (I guess thats CA welfare)

She didnt ask anyone else in line that question. Just me

I asked her what about me suggests I would be paying with EBT?

She looked down and away and couldn't keep eye contact with me.

She knew what she did and the judgement she made of me based on my color.

Libtards would call these "micro aggressions"

To me its just fucking life in America

These are some people's heros here.

“Mr. Bryan said that after the shooting took place before police arrival, while Mr. Arbery was on the ground, that he heard Travis McMichael make the statement, ‘f—-ing n—-er,’” GBI agent Richard Dial testified.

Don't take this the wrong way, but no, you don't understand my view.
