Suicide is per capita. The original data I came across for opioids was total, so I looked a little more. The gap closes, but whites are still the clubhouse leader.

Last week as I was parked at a local strip mall waiting for a client.. I watched a jeep pull up, a naked dude jump out of the passenger door and start to freak out hitting the jeep. He attempted to open the door he just got out of but the driver had locked it and then drove off as the naked guy was yanking on the door handles. Naked man stood there in the middle of the parking lot in the rain until the cops showed up. Felt bad for the cop who had to get hands on with the wet naked tweaker.
