Always loved Texas Hill Country... Not my pic.

We don't have such nice flora and fauna in dry ass So Cal...

That’s my territory ?

The flowers are bluebonnets, the state flower. They bloom all over the place in the spring. The season is just ending now. Other cool ones that are common to see with the bluebonnets are Indian paintbrushes. Lots of others too, but that’s my personal favorite pair.

Nice!

I've spent some time there.

Wanted to buy some land near New Braunfels years ago...

Wishing everyday I had did just that instead of moving to the shithole that is So Cal

The Hill Country has some real special things/places/attributes. The regional geology of the Hill Country and the Balcones Fault Zone are why I have the job I do.

the Live Oak savannah’s are tough to beat

I don’t know what you were thinking either!

Texas has its faults for sure, but lack of scenery and natural wonders isn’t one of them

Love shots of the Milky Way

I've been working on my time lapse Milky Way shots.

Don't even ask because they suck.

I'm much better at Video Astronomy but that skill set
isnt great either... it just sucks less.

My goal for this summer is to post pics on AstroBin without getting laughed off the site

So, I came a cunt hair away from stepping on a cottonmouth today down on the bank of the San Gabriel River, right next to a small damn that controls flow near a riverside residential area. No pics, but I did almost piss my pants a little. I was mid stride, and if I had put my foot down I would have got him (and probably got bit). Saw a bunch of turtles too, and two Great Blue Herons.
Had a near death experience as well a week back:
