That's not so much at Corona virus problem as it is an NHS problem.
We also delayed elective surgeries but a painful or enlarging hernia that became an increased medical threat, rather than optimal care, would override as it would no longer be just elective.
It's likely that his hernia was quite smaller and minimally symptomatic a year ago. Somewhere in there should have been follow-ups to reassess or precautions to return to proceed with surgery of certain things happened. Not sure where the breakdown was.

U.S. agency says employers can mandate COVID-19 vaccination
Why are you like this?

For those wondering the content of the article states:

The EEOC, in a statement posted on its website explaining its updated guidance, said employees can be required to be vaccinated as long as employers comply with the reasonable accommodation provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act and other laws.

In addition, employers may offer incentives to workers to be vaccinated, as long as they are not coercive, it said.

Yes mine has, but said you can apply for religious or medical exemption. But if you just don't want to get it, you're out.
As the article states. Crazy times we live in. Schools can mandate immunizations for kids here so pretty much same same but not the same.

Astrazeneca has been pulled here for being unsafe. One guy today died from it. CDC is looking into heart damage in children and young adults caused by the mrna vaccines. We've left the world of vaccine related issues being only in the realm of conspiracy theorists. At this point the only places using Astrazeneca are countries who can't get anything else.
miss Ivermectin yet?

You have to be a member to read the article. Wanna copy paste?
Oh I didn't know, sorry. There was a presentation from someone from that site through a group at work and I ended up on a mailing list.

There's a lot of detail, but basically, they can make you come into work physically, they can make you break cdc social distancing guidelines and make you expose yourself to unmasked people like clients because those guidelines aren't enforceable, they can take your temperature, they can require you to get the vaccine or if you're exempt to wear a mask or work remotely. They can't fire you for raising health and safety concerns or reporting them to a government agency.

How, or by what logic can they fire you for not getting vaccinated?

According to EEOC, they can't "coerce" you into getting it. That's of course ignoring that it doesn't make any sense to require vaccinations.

I don't know. Maybe because NY is an at-will state and vaccination status isn't a protected class?

Anyway they said they won't let us in if we haven't uploaded our vaccination proof to their system. So eventually they can fire someone for just not showing up to work.

I say this as someone who just received his first vaccine, literally less than 2 hours ago, it's completely fucked to be creating a caste system.

Are they still doing the thing up there where you’ll have to wait 4 months for round 2?
Not in BC.

B.C. is accelerating second dose appointments for all eligible people because of increased vaccine supply.
Last updated: May 28, 2021
You will get an invitation by text, email or phone call to book your second dose appointment approximately 8 weeks after your first dose.
