There were at least a couple of threads earlier today where John Petimore or whatever the fuck his name is was being a trolling, intentionally abrasive cunt. One of the threads was the Arizona Maricopa county recount thread, and his troll target was frankenmetz, who respectfully bowed out a number of times, but the troll kept trolling. John P eventually got pinked, but I’m not sure for what. Then later Frank left and his SN is now just a 4 digit number.

I’m all for liberty and freedom of everything, but typically, it’s the political threads that are the culprit. People can’t accept that everyone is different and entitled to their own differing opinions. They get triggered, escalate, and never ever ever ever ever ever ever convince the other person that they are right and the other is wrong. I don’t want to limit topics here, I just wish people would spend more time seeking to understand why someone feels differently than attacking them for doing so. It’s pointless and ends in situations like this. It’s people feeding their own ego and results in such unnecessary hate. It s a shame.

i work all day with a guy who is the leftest of the left and queer as a 3 dollar bill . i have heard all kinds of impractical dumb shit come out of his mouth . i just keep in mind that politics is just someone elses opinion and everyone is entitled to there own opinion no matter how stupid it is.it helps that i am lead hand and can just ship him off to another crew when he starts the china isnt so bad or all we need to do is build the homeless free houses bullshit. i try not to talk politics in the workplace but the fucker took polisci and can steer any convo into left vs right or green party nonsense. i feel like going right wing death squad on him but that wouldnt be very responsible or workplace friendly of me. at the end of the day neither one of us is ever going to change each others opinions so arguing would be all for nothing
