Locking up non-violent offenders does more harm than good.

Nancy's "war on drugs" and Slick Willy's "3 strikes and you're out" have gutted generations of families.

Expunging the record is also very important as some companies still won't hire felons, which is also an issue.

Juneteenth is set to become a federal holiday, after the US Senate unanimously passed a measure to formally recognise the abolition of slavery and the nation’s “second” Independence Day on 19 June.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumermade a motion to pass the bill on Tuesday, days before 2021’s Juneteenth commemorations, without objections. It now heads to the House of Representatives, where it is expected to pass before heading to Joe Biden’s desk to be signed into law.

You're trashing the Dems for the prison state?

Do you have any idea what the Republicans at the time were pushing for?

The three strikes bullshit and the war on drugs have been a generations-long disaster, and the Dems own a big part of it for sure. Americans are straight retarded when it comes to their ideas about punishment and rehabilitation. But let's not pretend that the Republicans wouldn't have gone much harder if they'd had the power at the time. Can you be honest enough to concede that, at least?
