What with the new trend of posters thinking they should be able to post within an ‘extra safe’ safe space?

Banning personal insults isn’t enough, they also want triggers, negative ratings and memes canceled outright.

Because they choose to not utilize forum tools like the ignore function they want the rest of us to tiptoe around their needs.

I’m sorry someone called you Vutu

you don’t seem to understand what people are trying to explain to you and will be banned sooner than later. The site has seen this happen multiple times over the years and unless @Splinty changes the TOS of the site your clock is ticking. Up to you not any other poster to stop that from happening.
I will talk politics in politics threads, am happy for my opinions to be challenged in a reasonable way, and will happily contribute to (and start) all sorts of non-political threads.

In addition, I do not hold grudges, will not seek a clique to join, and will engage with anyone here in a friendly manner if it's a different subject that we're not at odds over.

Please don't repeatedly (and arrogantly) tell me that I'm someone I have never heard of. And when I respond to a post by giving you the respect of going point by point to address what you have said, and providing evidence to back my own claims - don't reply with a braindead meme or gif because you can't back your own statements.

Fair?

I'm not calling for memes to be banned.

Just saying that replying to an on-topic post with a stupid meme or gif - and keeping on doing that no matter what - is basically an admission that you can't respond to anything that was actually said.

Memes and gifs certainly have their place, for sure. Political ones included. But they are not a substitute for an actual rebuttle. They are more an admission that you don't have anything more substantial. That's why the mouthbreathers on any forum rely on them (and links to conspiracy blogs) virtually to the exclusion of anything else. Because that's the best they can come up with. I would expect better from someone like JorgeMasvidalsBeard.

So anyway...is Trump president again yet?
No.

Because the "fraud" and the "audit" are bullshit conspiracy garbage. As has been comprehensively proven over and over, not that any of the both-sides guys will ever have the honesty to acknowledge that.

Happy to hear someone attempt to actually make a case for why that is not so, though. In their own words, if possible. But that's never gonna happen, is it.

Oops, I don't get banned for saying that, do I?

Shall we start a poll?

Would you rather see someone post a meme and move on ?

Or someone post essentially the same message over and over for 3 pages?

Note: I only went back 3 pages. It could be more.

Well clearly, I am not this Vutu guy who hasn't posted here for years. So perhaps I am owed an apology for being repeatedly told that I am him? I'm not of course - I don't take this place anywhere near that seriously. But it's a bit of a cunt's trick to troll a noob with that as a way to avoid actually engaging with or addressing any of the points he made in a political themed post, would you agree?

So I become a stupid troll, because he responds with that shit so maybe I should too? So there is no discussion at all, just people making pronouncements and posting stupid gifs if anyone challenges anything? Yeah....... thanks, but I'll take a pass on that. I'd rather read a good, solid post that I disagree with, than a stupid gif that I agree with.

I don't spend "hours a day" here. I post from work for two minutes or five minutes between calls, in my downtime. The second a call comes in, I drop my phone and return to it later. Or when I get home, if I'm relaxing with the dog and the missus isn't home. On my days off, you'll barely see me.

I would have assumed that fight fans wouldn't be such sensitive crybabies.

And you are right, I will post about any topic under the sun, and this place has had a few threads (Canadian politics, for example) where I showed up and freely admitted "I have no idea about this stuff", and don't impose any opinions on anybody, but simply ask basic questions to try to educate myself. I'm actually pretty easy to get along with....... if you're not a crybaby troll. I don't care if you disagree with me, I'm not the font of all wisdom. Which is why I give a shit about sourcing, btw. Because I'm aware that just because I WANT something to be the case - or assume that it is - that doesn't actually mean anything.

And as I said, I am perfectly willing to reset at any time. I did get my hand slapped away when I extended it, though. (that may have been @jason73, to be fair. Who I have since interacted with entirely cordially in another thread, for the record.)

Anyway my shift ends in half an hour, and this shit has been litigated more than enough already. Without dishonest trolls and/or conspiracy cement heads, I'll contribute in good faith to all sorts of threads. I'm just not particularly interested in participating in a knitting circle where we all have to tiptoe around in case someone gets triggered by hearing an opposing point of view backed by evidence. ?

??

Yeah. You're the Hill I would die on.

Fuck this I've been here for x amount of years.

I got that too.

Its a forum or it isn't a forum

Close it off then.

OAN Host Just Calling For Mass Executions Of Everyone Who Stole Election From Trump
One America News Network's Pearson Sharp, who believes the 2020 election was stolen from Donald Trump, is no exception.

In a particularly vile rant this week, Sharp mused on what might happen to those who perpetrated all the voter fraud and stole the election from poor Donald Trump.

"What are the consequences for traitors who meddled with our sacred democratic process and tried to steal power by taking away the voices of the American people? What happens to them?" he asked. "Well, in the past, America had a very good solution to dealing with such traitors: Execution."

Just stating the law according to the United States Constitution that every single serving Senator and everyone in the House of Representatives has sworn an oath to uphold.

Senate

Oath of Office
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

US House of Representatives

Oath of Office

“The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.”
— U.S. Constitution, Article VI, clause 3

Would be kind of a big deal if someone stole an election and got caught ...
