She's the pregnant lady, George Floyd robbed at gunpoint, and alleged assaulted.

Whoa, whoa whoa! I have no problem with the sentence. I was just wondering what her thoughts on it were. Think it'd be a great news piece to interview her after the courts made their decision.
I'm of the opinion that 2 pieces of shit are off the streets.

It needs to be long enough that the angry hordes feel justice has been served.

America's private prison "problem" is largely imagined.

(1) private prisons shouldnt exist. so any that do are a problem (over 100,000 americans are in private prisons right now maybe)
(2) public prison system is effed too (such as this chauvin guy getting 20 years. or the thousands locked up for marijuana offenses)

On the surface I'm inclined to agree, but it's really hard to say given that the problem isn't nearly as large as those who push forth the narrative lead on.

Ie, "They prosecute people more harshly to fill up private prisons!" but then you find out less than 10% of the prison population is in private prisons, so really they're filling up public prisons.

I agree about non-violent offense. Don't know what you're implying with Chauvin. Too much or too little in your opinion?

thats only one side of the issue. even if we assume that private prisons dont incentivize arrests/convictions, the main issues is that capitalism encourages cost-cutting

cost cutting has consequences (such as the texas power situation)

its inhumane to have cost-cutting in prisons, which are supposed to be about rehabilitation :(

i dont know who that is. and i wouldnt be able to pick out chauvin either lol
Philip Brailsford killed Daniel Shaver, basically in cold blood. The outrage was hardly broadcasted, and Phil was suspended with pay then rehired.

Absolutely no reason this event shouldn't have been high profile, but I suppose Shaver deserved it.

Although I understand the point you're making the same criticisms would have to apply to public prisons too.

Point of order; I haven't found a source that indicates she was pregnant.
I was curious myself since I've heard it repeated a lot.

Not that his crime wasn't bad enough on its own

For what it's worth his past isn't really relevant anyways.

Little bit when we see a Statue of him
I just mean pertaining to the trial. When Chauvin went on trial it quickly became "Well, but George Floyd has a past!" now in some instances that's going to inform an officer's interaction with a suspect, but in this case it was being done to try to turn the public against Floyd and in favor of the police. Knowing what we know now, the aftermath of Floyd's death is so completely fucked.
