The news is hyped up about vaccine passports today. Vaccine passports are stupid and should only exist for international travel.
I think an argument could be made regarding cross-pollinating being dangerous. And I think every country has a right to determine how much cross-pollinating of a particular disease they're willing to risk.
But we now have the question of vaccine efficacy for transmission prevention with the Delta variant.
If the vaccine doesn't nearly eliminate transmission as was seen with the original strain then vaccine passports are just a ham handed way to force everyone to get vaccinated to lower hospitalizations.. It doesn't seem very ethical when applied at this granular level of simple daily interactions.
