what did francis ask for more money and dana made an interim belt instead?
Yup.

Jake Paul said "Dana pays you guys like shit." Francis, in his best Mice and Men impression, said "Yeah, Jake!" to which Dana replied "Lol. Well, Francis. How about if I pay you in Cyril Gane interim title shots?"

Francis had a trip back home scheduled
Dana wanted him for an event
Francis didn't wanna do it then
Dana booked this "interim" fight
Dana said it will be like boxing with two top belts coming together(the irony)

Francis thinks it is all bullshit and is a bit pissed

It was fake hype for this event to make a local guy have a shot at the "title" IMO

lennox lewis really hits the nail on the head here
I'll never forget Rogan saying "Man, it would have been awesome for you to fight Tyson in his prime." Without missing a beat Lennox Lewis, also without a hint of irony, or self awareness, says "When I fought Mike he was in his prime."

I fucking burst out laughing.

There are levels to this game. Derrick Lewis is not on Cyril Gane's level.
I'm not even entirely convinced that Lewis is on Bethe Correia's level when it comes to the basic fundamentals of MMA.

Don't know if you've been following the thread or not, but there was one moron in here complaining about Lewis' lack of volume and variety of skill as if he has more than one tool.

Seemingly nobody in the entire MMA fanbase has ever actually seen a Derrick Lewis fight aside from maybe four of us.

Lewis is a major fan favorite. The butt hurt is real, but understandable.
The betting stat was perplexing to me. 94% of bets on Lewis? Why were so many people willing to throw their money away on a fairly predictable fight?

The Volkov KO will always stand as an example of how a Lewis fight COULD go, if you don't take him out of his element. And ultimately that's what we're all watching for.

I doubt that was accurate across all betting sites/books.

It felt hard to bet against derek derailing another up and comer with that right hand...I stayed off that fight

The value for betting Gane was low...If you bet 100 bucks and Gane wins you end up with 135 bucks...If you bet 100 on Gane and Lewis KOs him you end up with 0 and feel like a dumbass for not respecting lewis propensity to KO guys that are better MMA fighter(lewis had won 7 of 9, many as underdog)
