I did the same thing. I really wanted to like this show, but couldn't make it through episode 1. I think I need to give it another try, though. I'll make it a point to watch at least the first episode.

I kinda did the same thing with Mad Men. I watched the first episode and was like "Meh." I liked it, it just didn't draw me in. I gave it another go and ended up loving the series. I have not watched it in probably a year though.

The Walking Dead is hands down better in my opinion. I'm on episode 5 of Z Nation and the acting is pretty cheesy for the most part.

I do like how the Z nation just jumps right into the shit. Walking Dead gets 10/10. Z Nation so far is a 5/10

I just wrapped up season 2 of z nation. I think its great. Cheesy and hokie but i like it. Im forced to watch twd. Nothing ever happen though

I really love the walking dead, everything that's good about the show is great, but then the flaws are pretty bad. the dialogue is getting really unrealistic, with every convo being a simple philosophical quote. the zombie killing scenes have been old for a while now. im not familiar with comics and don't know if they are adding any new spice to the show anytime soon, but it needs some new elements. compared to breaking bad, which I would give a 9.5/10, id give twd an 8. I understand they cant just totally flip the context of the dialogue but the show could use some realism. on this note anybody have any good zombie movies to recommend?

Don't really care for either. Gave the walking dead more of a chance because I really enjoyed the comic book. I've given up on the walking dead comic now too. Nothing interesting happening imo.

Second season of ZN was quality. The first was a bit of a chore at times, but worth sticking with for the glory of the first 7 or 8 episodes of Season 2.

Walking Dead is like a fine wine of Zombie - Collapse series. Z Nation is for people with short attention span imo. Everything moving really fast, including the zombies. How do rotten reincarnated people move faster than the living? Not real at all imo.
